NECK PAIN 😬⚡️here are some common causes of neck pain for you lovely lot!

- Muscle strain: Strained or overused muscles in the neck, often caused by poor posture, sleeping in an awkward position, or sudden movements.

(You’d be surprised how many people we see that simply “slept funny”)

- Injuries: such as whiplash from a car accident or a sports-related injury.

- Herniated or bulging discs: When the discs between the vertebrae in the neck become damaged or displaced, they can press on nearby nerves, causing pain.

- Cervical spondylosis: AKA arthritis of the neck, it is a degenerative condition that causes the breakdown of cartilage and bone in the cervical spine, leading to neck pain and stiffness.

- Pinched nerve: Compression or irritation of a nerve in the neck, often due to herniated discs, bone spurs, or spinal stenosis.

- Poor posture: Prolonged periods of sitting or standing with improper posture can strain the muscles and ligaments in the neck, leading to pain.

- Stress and tension: Emotional stress or tension can cause muscle tightness and spasms in the neck, resulting in pain and discomfort.

- Osteoporosis: Weakening of the bones in the neck due to age or other factors can increase the risk of fractures and neck pain.

If you’re suffering, don’t wait it out or continue to dull it down with over the counter pain medication - Get Seen, Get Better 🙌🏽⚡️

Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is the pain felt in muscles, nerves and tendons caused by repetitive movement and overuse. The condition mostly affects parts of the upper body:

✍️ wrists and hands
👤 neck and shoulders
🤳 forearms and elbows

Symptoms can range from mild to severe and usually develop gradually. They often include pain, aching, throbbing, weakness and a tingling feeling.

The first step in treating RSI is usually to identify and modify the task or activity that is causing the symptoms. We’re here for advice on posture and how to strengthen or relax your muscles.
