Firefighters are urging people to carry out safety checks on electric blankets before using them.

The warning comes after an incident at the weekend where an electric blanket was identified as the cause of a bedroom fire.

Electric blanket safety:
👉Unplug at night, unless they have a thermostat control for safe all-night use
👉Never buy second hand
👉Store it flat or rolled up loosely, never fold
👉Test regularly
👉Turn off and consult a qualified electrician if you have any concerns

Had to postpone 2 jobs in Reading today, purchased a new (second hand) car on Friday and the exhaust fell off today. FairPlay to the car dealer he agreed to pay for the complete system with out any hassle.

First Test this morning was a kettle, it FAILED. No one in the office could have a cup of tea until the Manager bought a new one. It was 10.30 before that turned up.
On a serious note though a Metal bodied Kettle with no earth is not a good thing.

A bit of a mix today. First the European Headquarters of a Specialist Aircraft Cleaning Company, located in Farnbrough Airport and then, a brand new customer for us, a very impressive looking mobile disco also a based in Farnbrough. Should be a good a good day.

We are now officially a Sub Contractor to one the the biggest PAT Testing Companies in London who have contracts with Buckingham Palace no-less.
We are tasked with any work that comes up in Hampshire so we wont be meeting the Queen just yet. But you never know one day maybe.
