Colorectal (bowel) cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK — but it is also one of the most preventable and treatable when found early.

Many people feel nervous about symptoms or screening, but early detection can make a life-saving difference. That’s why awareness, education, and action are so important.

🔹 Know the possible symptoms, including:
• Persistent changes in bowel habits
• Blood in your stool
• Ongoing abdominal pain or bloating
• Unexplained weight loss
• Fatigue or anaemia

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and organised Self-Employed Medical Receptionist / Administrator to support our growing service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys flexible working arrangements and is comfortable operating on a self-employed basis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service
• Managing patient bookings, enquiries, and appointment systems
• Handling confidential patient information in line with GDPR
• General administrative support (scanning, correspondence, records)
• Supporting clinicians and practice operations
• Maintaining a high standard of patient care and professionalism

Essential Skills & Qualities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Professional, calm, and friendly approach
• Good IT skills (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• High standards of confidentiality and discretion

Desirable:
• Previous experience in healthcare or GP reception
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with clinical systems

Self-Employed Requirements:
• Ability to work on a self-employed basis
• Responsible for own tax and National Insurance
• Appropriate professional conduct and reliability
• Ability to invoice for services provided
