A New Season for Movement.

As the days begin to lengthen and spring approaches, many of our members use this time of year as a natural moment to reset their routines.

At Lanes, we believe sustainable fitness isn’t about quick bursts of motivation. It’s about building habits that support your energy, strength and wellbeing all year round.

Whether that means returning to the gym floor, joining a class or enjoying a few quiet lengths in the pool, every visit is a step toward feeling your best.

Your routine starts here, at Lanes. Discover more today, click the link in the bio.

Recovery Matters: The Benefits of Sauna

Recovery is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

One of the simplest ways to support your body each week is by incorporating time in the sauna after your workout. Regular sauna use can help relax muscles, improve circulation and support recovery following exercise, while also providing a moment to slow down and reset.

At Lanes, our saunas are located in each changing room and offer a quiet space to unwind after training or swimming, allowing the body and mind to fully relax.

For those new to sauna use, a good starting point is 10–15 minutes once or twice per week, ideally after exercise. Staying hydrated before and after your session is important, and listening to your body is always key.

Give it a go!

💪 Meet Josh, a PT here at Lanes!

Josh has always had a passion for sports, playing football from a young age. At 16, he discovered a love for the gym and developed a strong interest in biology at school. This led him to study Sport & Exercise Science at university for three years.

His goal in becoming a personal trainer was simple: to help people reach their goals while supporting and motivating them along the way.

You’ll find Josh teaching classes here at Lanes, including Freestyle Weights and Les Mills Thrive, a weekend class focused on building strength in the legs and core.

What he loves most about Lanes? The community. It’s an amazing environment to be part of, and he’s excited to help members feel stronger, healthier, and more confident every day.

Click the link in the bio to book your next PT session with Josh, here at Lanes.

Our Story

Fed up with the traditional hard body fitness image we decided to make a difference to the health and well-being of adults like ourselves, who perhaps want more than just pumping iron or treadmill pounding in a soulless gym. How? By creating a club that specialises in meaningful exercise based on movement and function. Or to put it another way, we’re a club that prioritises your well-being – and works with you to create an individual exercise programme to improve your fitness; co-ordination; strength and flexibility.
