Why is your GP practice closed this afternoon?

It is to enable practices to have dedicated Protected Learning Time for important training, keeping our teams up-to-date and working together to improve our services to our patients.

If your medical issue is urgent and cannot wait until we reopen, please call 01387 241033. Similar to the regular Out of Hours Service, you will be able to speak to a medical professional who will be able to assess your need and provide an appropriate level of care.

We’ll be back open tomorrow to support you as always.

Our practice will be closed from 13:00 on Wednesday 18 February for a Protected Learning Time session. We will re-open again at 08:00 on Thursday 19 February.

We encourage you to plan ahead similar to public holiday closures to ensure you have all medications you require during this period.

IT UPDATE
Our computer systems are back up and running! Thank you for your patience during the brief period of interruption.

Our computer systems have just crashed and we are unable to get connection again. This means we have no access to our diaries, your records and results. We are trying our hardest to get this rectified as soon as possible. Please only call us if it is an emergency until we can get access again. If you are expecting a telephone call this morning, we apologise that this will not happen at the expected time but you will be contacted as soon as we are able to. We will provide further updates as soon as we can. Please be patient with our staff who are trying their hardest to help you in a difficult situation. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to high levels of staff sickness, we are having to rearrange some non-urgent appointments. Due to very high demand there is a longer than usual wait for routine and non-urgent appointments. All our staff are working very hard to make sure that those people that need to be seen are seen as soon as possible.

We understand that rearranged appointments are frustrating and disruptive but PLEASE show respect and courtesy to our teams. They are doing what they can to help you with limited options at the moment.
