The Teal ribbon - today marks the start of the World Cervical Cancer Elimination programme. To mark this day we're giving everyone who comes into the Practice, a teal ribbon in the hope that we can get one simple message out to all our ladies.
It takes just a few minutes and can save a lifetime.
Today there are 351 ladies registered at Annan North who are overdue to have this simple and quick test. If you would like to book an appointment or would just like to discuss what happens in the appointment, just give us a call.

Some patients in Scotland have reported receiving a call appearing to be from their GP asking them to press a button to update their details. Some of these messages suggest that if the person does not update their details, they will be removed from the GP practice list. We will never send an automated telephone message to you and we will never remove you from our list without a very good reason that we have discussed with you at length.

What happens?
These calls:
Ask recipients to press a button to update personal details.
Claim that failure to do so will result in removal from the GP practice list. Sometimes include a link to click.
May display a foreign location, such as Spain, on the caller ID.

Action to take
If you receive a telephone call from an unknown number asking you to update your details, please hang up.
Do not provide any details or press a number on your handset.
If you receive a scam telephone call, you can report this to Police Scotland on 101.
Find out more about scam telephone calls on the National Cyber Security Centre website

TOP-TIP - If you collect your prescription medication direct from the local pharmacy, please ask them if it's ready rather than ringing the Surgery. They have a far better idea of when they have processed your prescription and when it will be ready to collect.😉

We've been asked by the Health Board to share this invitation with you. There are lots of venues you can go to, to express your thoughts about the future of the GP services. We're waiting for a venue for the Annan event on the 5th November, but as soon as we have it, we'll share it with you on here and in our Waiting Rooms. Your feedback and ideas are always welcome.

Here are some of the team that help look after you. They are all very experienced and help you to be seen quickly by an appropriate clinician - whether its a Physiotherapist about a poorly joint or our on-site Pharmacist about your medication, we'll make sure you get the right care in the right place with the right person.

To ensure patient safety we are switching off e-Consult every Friday 5pm, turning it back on at 8am every Monday (Tuesday if it’s a Public Holiday).
We aim to deal with every e-Consult within 48 hours but they must NEVER be completed for anything urgent.
As always, you will be able to complete an e-Consult from Monday 8 am until Friday 5pm for non-urgent health concerns, prescription ordering and administration requests such as address or telephone number changes. Thank you
