Tomorrow (Friday 20th), Monday and Tuesday next week we will only be able to see urgent patients and give only urgent acute prescriptions, as we prepare for our turn to move to the new Scotland-wide computer system.
We will not be able to offer:
- routine appointments
- Patient access & e-Consult as these will be closed from 2pm today.
- answer calls for routine appointments or test results
- issue any repeat prescriptions
- issue sick notes (we will issue backdated ones if required when we're back on-line on 25th)

We will not be able to make exceptions. If you find yourself without enough medicines during this time, please speak to your usual pharmacist who my be able to issue an emergency supply. For advice for routine ailments please ring 111 or go to https://www.nhs24.scot/

Please be aware that there is a telephone outage affecting a large number of customers across Scotland. We cannot divert incoming calls to our practice mobiles. Please use the eConsult system if you can as we are still able to receive these. If you are expecting a telephone call this morning, please be aware that this may come through as an unknown number and may be a delay. As we know more, we will keep you informed. There has been a large increase in patients attending the practice with coughs, colds and flu symptoms and others with vomiting and diarrhoea bugs. The best advice is to stay home and consult https://www.nhsinform.scot/ in the first instance for advice about how best to look after yourself and your loved ones.
If you do need to come to the surgery with any of these symptoms you will be asked to wear a face mask to protect the vulnerable members of our community.
All patients should use the hand sanitiser provided at the desk.
Our team are working hard to deal with the rise in demand so please be kind & be a patient patient.
