Good evening all. Just a wee update to let you know that my last working day at Annan Court will be Thursday 6th December. I have had so many lovely comments from so many which had been so heartwarming and I am truly thankful and overwhelmed by how much I have impacted on so many in the community. Annan court has been such a huge part of my life and it is going to be a huge void for me. We are busy getting our festive Calendar ready and we are looking forward to getting all our decorations hunted out ready for the light switch on. There will be dates for your diary flyers ready next week so can join us for any chance events during December 🎄 Suzanne 🤗

What an fantastic turnout tonight for our fireworks. It is always the highlight of my year seeing all the generations come together to enjoy the different displays and sparklers and of course the hotdogs! A huge thank you also to Gavin and Andrew for giving up their evening to co ordinate the display which they worked nicely in with the big display that was going on near Dornock 🤗. Thank you also to Allan for keeping us fed and watered afterwards and for the team for pulling out the stops to ensure our residents enjoyed the event from either outside or cosied up in the lounge. Tonight was extra special for me and quite emotional as it will very sadly be my last opportunity to organise the fireworks at annan court as I have after a great deal of deliberation decided to move on in December. It meant a great deal to be able to share tonight with my family too as they have been a huge support to me over the last 7 years in many ways. This has allowed me the commitment and flexibility to lead the team to the home we have today. I have had an amazing journey and have always worked to ensure our residents are always at the centre of all we do and tonight certainly showed that. Thank you all for your continued support 💕 suzanne x

The forecast is looking good so all is on track for our annual fireworks tomorrow (Monday)at 6pm. We look forward to family staff and friends joining our residents for a fab evening.

Due to the weather forecast being rather depressing for tomorrow evening we have decided it is safer than f we move it to Monday so we can aim for a clearer drier evening. Sorry for the inconvenience but if it is a clearer dry night we can get so many more people outside to enjoy it. 6pm start.

We have had some fantastic news today! Finalists in the Scottish Care Awards 2018 in the category for Nutrition and Well-being and for Best Care service of the year! Wow - mega proud of the team. The awards night is on 16th November in the Hilton at Glasgow. Let the dress hunting begin! 🎉🎈🍾
