The Christmas period can be a difficult time if you are grieving the loss of a loved one ❤️

As draws to a close, we want to remind anyone in need to reach out for guidance and advice.

Loss is something we all experience throughout our lives, and it can be extra challenging to manage feelings of grief and sadness at this time of year.

Whether your bereavement is recent or not, the pain you feel is often amplified during the holidays.

Sometimes it helps to give some thought in advance to what will be most helpful for you, and with this in mind our Bereavement Team has collated some suggestions and resources to offer support to you or someone else in your life 🤝

Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Tony McDonnell.

Frances, the McDonnell and Lavender Families wish to extend our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us and shared in our sorrow following the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, Tony.

We are deeply appreciative of our family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and generosity – for visiting our home, attending the funeral, sending Mass cards and messages, and for the many thoughtful acts of comfort shown to us during this difficult time.

Our special thanks to Rev. Fr. Brendan Kane and the Very Rev Sean Emerson PP for the reverent and consoling celebration of the Holy Mass. We also express our gratitude to Claire and Colette for the beautiful music and singing, which greatly enhanced the liturgy.

We remain indebted to Dr. Jayaprekash and the staff of Oriel Surgery, as well as the carers and District Nurses for their dedicated care, compassion and good humour in tending to Tony. We also wish to acknowledge Wrays Funeral Directors for their professionalism and respectful conduct of all funeral arrangements.

Tony’s Month’s Mind Mass will be offered on Sunday, 14th December at 11am in St Comgall’s Church, Antrim.
St. Anthony, pray for him.
