✨ Drawing & Talking for parents/carers - Wednesday Afternoons ✨
Following my recent post exploring interest for Drawing & Talking sessions for parents, I’ve had some lovely messages and comments. I’m now looking at arranging a block for a small group on Wednesday afternoons.
These sessions will offer a safe, confidential and judgement-free space for mums to explore emotions through the simple process of drawing with a leaded pencil on white A4 paper. No artistic skill required, just space to pause, reflect and gently process what you may be carrying.
As an Advanced Drawing and Talking Therapy Practitioner, I usually work with children and young people, but I know how powerful this approach can be for adults too, which is why I’m keen to create this space for you.
💛 A note about childcare
I completely understand that childcare isn’t always possible. If needed, you are welcome to bring your little one along. However, it’s important to be aware that having them with you may make it harder for you to fully engage in the session, as this time is really intended to support you.
🌿 Small group sessions
🌿 Confidential and supportive
🌿 No artistic ability needed
If a Wednesday afternoon session might work for you, please comment below or send me a message and I’ll share more details once I have a clearer idea of numbers.
This group may be suitable for those who:
• Are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or emotionally drained
• Are processing a difficult or traumatic birth experience
• Are single parenting and carrying a lot of responsibility
• Have a child living with illness, additional needs or disability
• Are parenting while living with their own physical or emotional health challenges
• Feel they have a lot of emotions they haven’t had space to process
• Would benefit from gentle, guided time to reflect and express feelings
• Are looking for a safe, confidential and judgement-free space
• Feel more comfortable expressing emotions through drawing rather than talking alone
