So often we get stuck replaying every possible thing that could go wrong. Our minds try to protect us by preparing for the worst, but sometimes that protection becomes a prison.

What if, just for today-you shifted your focus?

I want to share a little about what counselling really is. It’s not about being “fixed”, it’s about having a safe space to talk, be heard, and sort through what’s on your mind.

🟣 Eating Disorders Awareness Week 🟣
(23rd Feb- 1st March 2023)

This week invites us to raise awareness and deepen understanding of how eating disorders affect lives.

An estimated 1.25 million people in the UK are currently living with an eating disorder, and around 1 in 50 will experience one at some point. Research also shows that eating disorders have one of the highest mortality rates of any mental health condition, and that over half of those affected never receive treatment.

These conditions can affect anyone. They’re often hidden, complex, and closely linked to emotional distress, trauma, and the need for safety or control.

As a community, we can help by:
• Listening with empathy
• Sharing accurate, stigma-reducing information
• Supporting those in recovery
• Advocating for accessible, trauma-informed care

If you or someone you care about is struggling, support is available, and recovery is possible.

Time to Talk Day is about breaking that silence. It’s an invitation:

Under The Full Moon

I stepped outside this evening, and the full moon stopped me in my tracks. It was one of those moments where everything feels a little quieter, a little softer. The sky was bright, the air was still, and for a few seconds I just stood there.

There’s something about the beauty of a full moon that reaches you before you even realise you needed it. It has a way of lighting up the things we’ve been carrying; the tiredness, the hopes, the worries we’ve tucked away.

Nights like this can bring clarity, or tenderness, or simply the reminder that we’re human and doing our best.

When Your Mind Won't Switch Off

Overthinking can feel like your brain is stuck on “repeat”, replaying moments, imagining worst‑case scenarios, or second‑guessing every choice. It’s exhausting, and it’s more common than many people realise.

You don’t have to solve everything in your head. Pausing, breathing, and grounding yourself in the present can create a little space to breathe again.
