What a fantastic week exploring India Ascot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection

Residents enjoyed history talks, learned about Indian culture from our wonderful team, and got creative painting colourful Rangoli glass designs.

We celebrated Holi with bright paint splats, sampled delicious Indian treats like pani puri and sweets, and enjoyed beautiful music from Manu Sura the sitar player.

We even met a few creepy crawlies along the way!

A week full of culture, creativity and smiles.

Our travels to India continued today with a visit from Manu Sura.

The room was filled with the spellbinding sound of the sitar, and we were all completely transfixed.

To make the experience even more special, some of our residents at Ascot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection also enjoyed trying a few delicious Indian treats, giving everyone a little taste of India to go along with the music.

It was a wonderful afternoon of culture, music, and new experiences.

Our amazing Activities team at Ascot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection stepped into their cabin crew roles and, with our very own “Pilot” leading the way, we took off on a journey to India for the week — all without leaving the lounge!

Today, we explored the wonderful aromas of traditional spices, tasted delicious homemade Pani Puri, and even gave Bollywood dancing a try for the very first time!

What a beautiful Sunny day it's been today!

Some of our residents at Ascot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection ventured out to soak up the afternoon rays and tried out some of our beautiful new garden seating.

There’s nothing quite like fresh air, good company, and a peaceful garden setting to lift the spirits.

We've started planning for our Summer flowers at Ascot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection.

Today, our residents got busy planting seeds, getting their hands into the soil and sharing plenty of smiles along the way! 🌱

There was lots of concentration as each seed was gently tucked into place, with green-fingered enthusiasm filling the air. We can’t wait to watch our garden bloom into a beautiful splash of colour over the coming months. 🌸

This week, our residentsAscot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection enjoyed expressing their creativity through some wonderful clay work.

The session offered a lovely opportunity to keep hands active and minds engaged, while also providing meaningful social time to relax, chat and enjoy one another’s company. Creative activities like this are a great way to support wellbeing and encourage self-expression in a calm and rewarding setting.

With Spring just around the corner, we’re feeling inspired and already planning new seasonal projects to get creative with clay. We look forward to sharing more of the beautiful pieces our talented residents create.

Our Brain Gym workout Ascot Grange Care Home - Avery Collection today was Crosswords.

Our residents worked through the clues independently before coming together and showing some fantastic teamwork to solve the trickier ones.

Two heads are definitely better than one when it comes to those challenging clues — and there were plenty of smiles (and “aha!” moments) along the way!
