How to embrace Spring with our horses 🌼
An equestrians guide to prepare for the question we all ask around this time of year -
“How to get ready for the season ahead”! This question is for everyone, competitive riders, performance riders, having fun at home riders, happy hacking, playing at liberty or just sitting in the field watching your horse happy and healthy!
Firstly, start now if you haven’t already. Make those plans/checklists/appointments ahead of time. Take time to think about what your horse needs right now. Most may be longing for turn out and waiting for fields to dry but there’s lots you can do whilst awaiting this, good grooming sessions, stable exercises, ground work, complimentary therapy to support circulation & respiration.
Tips for our horses: ✅
Fitness plan/ground work ideas (good coach)
Bridle & Bit fitter
Nutrition specialist
Physio/body worker
Dentist
Farrier
Saddle fitter
Worming schedule
Land management
All of the above are very important to our special equine friends all year round but let’s just make sure all is considered as we move towards lighter nights and warmer days! How exciting!!
However …. What about us?!
Do we need to be doing the same for ourselves? Yes we do!
Tips for us: ✅
Fitness/movement plans
Physio
Nutrition
Self care
Let us be better for our horses 🐎
We can also support our horses with complementary therapy that can aid in performance, speed recovery and ensure that they are in tiptop condition.

Let’s all work together 😊
