🧠Kindness Changes Your Brain🧠

Who doesn't love a random act of kindness? But did you know that when you do something kind, even something tiny like giving a compliment or holding the door, your brain lights up in powerful ways.

Your brain releases oxytocin, the "love hormone," which strengthens social bonds and lowers blood pressure. You get a boost of dopamine and serotonin, the same feel-good chemicals that lift your mood and reduce stress.

Acts of kindness also activate your brain's reward centre, meaning kindness literally feels good. The amazing thing is your brain can't always tell the difference between doing something kind and seeing kindness, so witnessing compassion also gives you a mental lift!

Every small act ripples out, not just changing someone's day, but rewiring your own brain for happiness and connection.💚

Let us know if you received any acts of kindness today ⬇️

🌟Self Approval🌟

It's so easy to believe that being hard on ourselves is the only way to grow and that self criticism means discipline. That somehow pushing ourselves with harsh words would make us stronger.

But if you really think about it, does it actually help? Or does it just leave you feeling tired, anxious, and always feeling like you're not enough?

How about trying something different?
What if progress didn't require punishment?
What if you could grow because you feel supported, not because you feel broken?

Approving of yourself doesn't mean you stop improving. It means you stop tearing yourself down while you're trying to rise.

It looks like:
• speaking to yourself the way you'd speak to someone you love
• allowing mistakes without spiraling
• acknowledging effort even when the outcome isn't perfect
• taking up space without apologising for existing

It's not always easy to see but there is strength in softness, and courage in choosing compassion.

Try approving of yourself. Not just once, not just on the good days. But consistently, gently, and with intention.

See what changes.
See what grows.
See who you become. 🌿✨

🍁Beauty Within🍁

I'm in such awe of the trees at the moment, everywhere I go I'm distracted by their beauty. I realised while stood absorbing everything they had to offer that they are always beautiful, but even more so at this time of year and it made me think about how we always seem to be seeking beauty of some sort.

Wanting the moment to feel magical right now. Hoping the glow will show up on command.

But beauty has its own pace. The trees don't turn golden until the air shifts and the season is ready and we too bloom when it's time.

There is no rush. Everything takes time. You are just in a season of becoming.

Let it come gently.
Let it come naturally.
Let it come when you are ready. 🍁✨

✨ Rise Stronger✨

As we approach the last couple of months of the year it can sometimes feel challenging. The shorter grey days and dark nights don't always help and often, life can throw us extra challenges.

Difficult moments are temporary. They shape us, refine us, and can reveal strengths we didn't even know we had. The version of you that comes out on the other side will be wiser, stronger, and more resilient.

If you feel like you're in the middle of a storm, keep going. Breathe and take it one day at a time. You are not defined by what you go through, but by how you rise.💛

You've got this 💪

🌕 The Beaver Moon: November 5th 🌕

✨ The brightest, fullest moon of the year ✨

As the clocks have just gone back and the days draw shorter, this luminous Beaver Moon rises, the final full moon before winter (but not the last of the year) and the brightest of the year.
It’s a beautiful reminder that even as darkness deepens, there is still light to guide us. 🌙

Traditionally, this was the time when beavers built their lodges, preparing for the cold months ahead.
This is our cue to do the same: to slow down, create warmth, and strengthen our emotional foundations.

💫 Wellbeing Focus:
Let this moon be your permission slip to rest, reflect, and rebuild.

Ask yourself:
• What do I need to release before winter begins?
• How can I bring more light into my darker days, through routine, connection, or creativity?
• What helps me feel safe, grounded, and supported?

🌙 Group Challenge:
For the next 7 days, we’ll build our own “wellbeing lodges.”
Each day, choose one small act of light, something that brings warmth to your world:
🕯️ Journal by candlelight
🌲 Take a walk under the moon
🍲 Cook a slow, nourishing meal
📵 Switch off screens early and rest deeply

Share your reflections or photos with and tag us so we can rise together.

Let’s light up the darker days as a community. 🫶

🌟 Even in darkness, there’s light. Even in stillness, there’s strength. 🌟

🕰️ Slow down 🕰️

As the clocks turn back this weekend suddenly we're given the rarest gift of all: time. An extra hour to slow down, to stretch, to step away from the rush.

Instead of filling it with more to-do's, what if we simply let ourselves pause? To rest, reflect, and reconnect.

Life isn't meant to be lived in fast-forward. Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when we press pause, slow down and breathe a little deeper.🌿

This weekend’s retreat was one of those experiences that will live in our hearts for a long time. We’re beyond grateful for the kind, open, and giving souls who joined us, for trusting us with your time, your energy, and your beautiful presence.

What a gift it was to share space with such wisdom, compassion, and authenticity. We set out to hold space for others, yet we received so much in return; lessons, laughter, connection, and a reminder of the power of community.

Thank you for filling our hearts (and memories) with so much love. 💫

💛Feverfew - The Little Flower with a Big Reputation! 💛

This is popping up everywhere in my garden this year and it's so pretty, but don't let its dainty daisy look fool you, Feverfew has been a herbal hero for centuries! 🌿

Once known as "medieval aspirin" this cheerful plant was prized for easing fevers (hence the name!) and later became famous for helping to prevent migraines. Its secret weapon? A powerful compound called parthenolide, which helps calm inflammation and smooth out those cranky blood vessels in your head. 🧠✨

Fun facts:
🌼It's a cousin of chamomile, but way sassier.
🐝 Bees adore it (so your garden will too).
💪Some say it's nature's little anti-inflammatory powerhouse.
⚠️Just don't munch the leaves raw, they're super bitter and can irritate your mouth!

Grow it, brew it (carefully), or just admire it, feverfew proves that sometimes the smallest blooms pack the biggest punch. 💛🌼

💜Domestic Violence Awareness💜

Domestic Violence Awareness in October is a time to shine a light on an issue that affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men in the UK during their lifetime.

Domestic abuse isn't always physical. It can be emotional, psychological, financial, sexual, or coercive controll. The types of behaviour that isolate, frighten, and manipulate someone into silence. Abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, race or background.

How you can make a difference:

• Learn about the signs of abuse and how to respond safely.

• Listen and believe survivors, your support can change everything.

• Share resources and raise awareness in your community or workplace.

•Support charities and refuges working tirelessly to help those affected.

You can visit: www.nhs.uk/live-well/getting-help-for-domestic-violence/ and mankind.org.uk for more information.

• If you or someone you know needs help:

National Domestic Abuse Helpline (Refuge): 0808 2000 247 - 24/7 free and confidential.

• Men's Advice Line: 0808 801 0327

•Scotland: Scotland's Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline - 0800 027 1234

• Wales: Live Fear Free Helpline - 0808 8010 800

•Northern Ireland: Domestic and Sexual Abuse Helpline - 0808 802 1414

You are not alone. Help is available, and change is possible.💜

Let's turn awareness into action and build a society where everyone can live free from fear and violence.💜

During October April and Hayley have pledged to walk over 180 miles between them to help raise awareness and vital funds for the charity Refuge. If anyone would like to support us please get in touch.

✨ Growth ✨

Sometimes healing isn't about escaping the storm, it's about walking through it with compassion for yourself.
Through the discomfort.
Through the uncertainty.
Through the growing pains that remind you you're still becoming.✨

Well-being isn't found in avoidance, it's built in the moments you stay present, breathe deeply, and take the next step regardless.

On those days that you don't feel like showing up, but you do anyway. Conquering the fear and doubt; this is growth 💪
