Ashburton surgery building refurbishment project. The building works at the surgery commence on Tuesday 2nd December . The works are expected to be completed by the end of March 2026. The surgery will be operating their business as usual throughout the whole period. The building company and the team at the surgery will work in partnership to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum. Parking will be limited during this period.
What can patients do to help ……
- if possible do not drive to the surgery or where possible park off site
- expect some disruption/ increased noise levels when you attend the surgery - we will do all we can to keep disruption to a minimum
- if you are arranging an appointment please let the staff know if you feel it is something that is appropriate and can be managed via a telephone consultation rather than a face to face appointment.
We are all very excited and are looking forward to sharing all the changes with our patients as the building transforms. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions.

Please remove your cars from the surgery carpark .

We believe that this car has been parked in the surgery car park for two mornings in a row. Please can I remind local residents and visitors to the area - this is a private car park and whilst we have asked people very nicely not to park in the carpark during the winter vaccination programme, sadly it is still happening.
Unfortunately, we have now had to make the very difficult decision to install barriers at the car park entrance. These are due to be installed within the next two weeks.

Apologies but the telephone lines at the surgery are not working . This is a national problem . The telephone provider is working hard to fix the problem . Currently the surgery are unable to receive or make any calls . If your call is urgent please contact 111.

Despite our repeated requests for people not to park in the Surgery carpark during evenings /weekends especially whilst we are in the midst of the winter vaccine campaign - unfortunately this afternoon (Sunday) the carpark had at least 6 cars parked in it. We politely request that there is NO PARKING outside surgery hours in the car park ongoing. During surgery opening hours the parking is for our GPs and patients attending the surgery ONLY.

The team at Ashburton Surgery are very excited to announce that we have successfully secured a grant from NHS England to refurbish parts of the building and increase the number of consulting rooms at the Surgery. The surgery is already over 20% undersized for the population for which we serve, so this is fantastic news. It is anticipated that works will commence in early December. The surgery will continue their business as usual however there will naturally be some minor day to day disruptions and inconveniences including reduced parking for a period of time. We will ensure we do our best to keep our patients updated.

A Gentle reminder - Ashburton Surgery are running their Flu and Covid clinics every day over the next few weeks - Parking in the Surgery car park is limited and is for patients ONLY who are attending an appointment- this includes weekends and evenings for the month of Oct.
