At Taking Care, your safety and peace of mind are always our priority.

Sadly, some companies target older people with unexpected calls or doorstep visits, claiming to offer “the same service” or saying equipment needs to be urgently replaced.
If you or a loved one are ever approached by another provider, here are a few simple ways to stay protected:

• Be cautious of anyone claiming to offer “the same service” as your current alarm provider
• Be wary of unexpected sales calls or high-pressure doorstep visits
• Personal alarm systems should not cost thousands of pounds upfront
• If you’re unsure whether equipment is genuine or safe, don’t agree to anything on the spot

It’s always OK to say “No, thank you” and take time to check.

If you’re ever unsure, please call us first. We’re always here to help and happy to offer advice — even if it’s just for reassurance.

What a night for our local Exeter City FC heroes! 🏆⚽️

We’re incredibly proud to sponsor the Grecians as they march into the 3rd Round of the Emirates FA Cup with a superb 4–0 win over Wycombe Wanderers.
