Did you know some interesting facts about a massage?🧐

✅Massage is probably the oldest and simplest form of healthcare. It is depicted in Egyptian tomb paintings. It is mentioned in ancient Chinese, Japanese, and Indian texts. The first to describe the massage methods were Indians and Chinese. The unique book "Kung Fu" they wrote 3 thousand years BC.
They described not only all kinds of exercises, but also the main massage methods that can be used for dislocations, rheumatism, muscle cramps. In ancient times, only ministers of the church could practice massage.

✅In humans, a tactile feeling appears first at birth and fades out last at death. That is why the touch and stroking of other people are so pleasant to the senses. Every two square centimeters of the skin contains about 50 nerve endings, which are affected by the massage therapist.
Thanks to pleasant touches, a large amount of endorphins is released, pain is reduced and mood is raised. A simple touch on the wrist reduces blood pressure to normal and slows the heart rate.

✅An interesting fact is as follows: by the strength of recovery, only an hour of massage is comparable to a usual eight-hour sleep. Massage after heavy physical exertion will give a relaxing effect to tired muscles, accelerate the withdrawal of lactic acid and allow you to wake up fresh and alert the next day.

✅Even the largest animals on the Planet - humpback whales - massage gives unprecedented pleasure. Their length reaches 19 meters, and weight - up to 53 tons. But these giants are ready for several hours in a row to keep their heads above the water, so that they are only stroked.😆

💛💚👣 REFLEXOLOGY 👣

✅Reflexology is an ancient practice, therefore its origin and history is difficult to track. However, reflexology is thought to have been passed down through an oral tradition, and possibly first recorded as a pictograph on the Egyptian tomb of Ankhamor in 2330 BC😲 along with other medical procedures. Reflexology symbols are thought to be recorded on the feet of statues of Buddha in India and later China.

✅Reflexology works in a similar way to acupressure and acupuncture. It is thought that there are certain points on the feet and hands that correspond to the organs and glands in the body. So by pressing and massaging these points it can stimulate energy pathways in the body. If any energy pathways are blocked reflexology aims to unblock them, allowing the energy to flow freely again which aims to restore balance to the body.

✅Reflexologists postulate that reflexology helps release stress, which in turn helps the body heal and regenerate itself. There are several theories about how this process work. There is one of them.
This theory builds on research done in the 1890s by Sir Henry Head and Sir Charles Sherrington, who began to show through their research that a neurological relationship exists between the skin and the internal organs, and that the whole nervous system adjusts to a stimulus
✅According to the theory, the reflexologist's application of pressure to feet👣 or hands✋ sends a calming message from the peripheral nerves in these extremities to the central nervous system, which in turn signals the body to adjust the tension level.
✅This enhances overall relaxation, brings internal organs and their systems into a state of optimum functioning, and increases blood supply (which brings additional oxygen and nutrients to cells and enhances waste removal).
✅It positively affects the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, immune, and neuropeptide systems in the body.🤪👍

✅Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between. However, there may occasionally be times or health conditions when it is not suitable to provide a treatment.
❗️Please note: reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.
❗️Also, you will never be asked to undress for reflexology. The only clothing to be removed is socks🧦 or tights and your shoes🥾. It is best to wear loose comfortable clothing so that you feel relaxed.

So, let start... Swedish massage.

Swedish Massage was developed by Peter Henrik Ling (1776-1839), a Swedish physician and athlete who combined Chinese medical massage techniques with sports medicine to create a technique for decreasing muscle soreness, increasing flexibility and promoting general health. Strokes used in Swedish include long and gliding movements generally applied with an oil or cream as a lubricant, kneading, vibration, tapping and friction.

The effects and benefits of Swedish Massage have been well researched and documented with controlled studies.
🎖 Relaxation. Swedish Massage both calms the nervous system and relaxes muscular tension.
🎖Improve Sleep. Studies show that getting a massage increases serotonin levels in the body, so you can fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
