We posted earlier in the week about RADLD's popular DLD bubble resource. Well, some AMAZING teachers and Speech and Language Therapists from Wales have now made our resource interactive.

It is free to download, includes a personal profile tool and strategies as well. It is all FREE and available in English and Welsh.

This 4 week group course will be running from Tuesday 21st September in Ashby.

I have designed this to be an affordable introduction to speech and language therapy and is ideal if you are unsure if your child needs speech and language therapy support, if you are on a waiting list for speech and language therapy input if you just want to feel more confident in using play to support speech and language.

The course will be very practical and a lot of fun! There will be a mixture of teaching, coaching and lots of play!

Although these courses will not provide assessment or diagnosis for your child, I will provide specific advice as necessary so that you can support your child's individual communication needs.

The 4 week course costs just £50 for one adult and one child, with a small additional cost for any extra adults or children coming along.

I am very excited to announce the launch of my BRAND NEW 4 week play sessions - these are exclusively for families who are concerned about their little one’s speech and language development.

As well as being an Independent Speech and Language Therapist, I also run Pop Up Play Village in Loughborough, Coalville, Ashby and Swadlincote and I am passionate about supporting children’s speech and language.

During the 4 week course we will be using the Pop Up Play Village role play areas to explore the theory behind speech and language development and provide practical ideas for supporting your child’s speech, language and communication through play.

A recent study by ICAN suggest that around 1.5 million children are struggling with speech and language as a result of the pandemic.

If you are concerned about your child’s speech and language development and want to find out more about how to help them at home, this might be the course for you.

Aimed at families with children aged 0-2 or 3-5 these courses provide a fun and practical introduction!

Spaces are very limited to make sure that each family attending can get as much as possible out of the course.

Well, this is not at all surprising but very sad. With the right level of support many of these children will catch up, but those who were already had difficulties with speech, language and communication will find themselves even more disadvantaged. Priority needs to be given to supporting speech and language development in schools, as well as at home, since this will have a massive impact on all other areas of education and learning.

Delays to speech and language skills are a top concern for primary schools, researchers say.
