Our final coffee morning of the year! We like to do something crafty in our December meeting, and this year, Christine had us decorating candles. Very enjoyable! And always great to have a chat with our regulars and a few new faces.

We will not be running our 'To Absent Friends' coffee morning in January, but will be here again in February.

As part of we wanted to share some of the amazing support available in our community.

Pilgrims Hospices have been running Stepping Stones for 6 years now. Available to any adult in Kent, Stepping stones provides an opportunity to meet and chat with other bereaved people in a welcoming safe space.

Pilgrims Hospices celebrates the growth of its Stepping Stones Bereavement Support Services during National Grief Awareness Week.

Today marks the start of 2025

For the last 7 years, The Good Grief Trust trust have brought us National Grief Awareness Week to raise awareness about grief and loss, and bring us together.

This years theme is
'Losing a loved one feels like an ending in so many ways, but in time, it can also become the ground from which something new begins. After that loss, we can't go back to who we were, but instead, we can grow into someone new shaped by love, memories, and resilience. This growth doesn’t erase the pain, but it allows HOPE to return. We may even become more present, more compassionate, more aware of what truly matters in life.'

Our wonderful friends at Pilgrims Hospices have told us about the event they are running on Monday 8th December.

For a free, online event working on building a more supportive network and environment for grieving children.
