Mia's story:

I chose to be a care assistant after looking after members of my family and finding out I had a real passion for being able to support people day to day with a wide range of needs. Being able to provide high standards of care makes me feel really fulfilled. Within my role, I enjoy the diversity of what I do day to day. No day is the same and I get to meet some truly amazing people be that providing care for those individuals or working alongside them. I have been with Dependable Homecare for 2 years now and have felt supported throughout my entire journey starting as a care assistant to becoming a senior care assistant at the beginning of the year. Dependable has helped me gain this achievement and I look forward to continuing to grow within this company.

My name is Caroline I am a senior carer here at dependable, I became a carer during the pandemic and it was the best thing I ever did. I enjoy helping people and making a difference to their lives.
It makes me happy to know I can support someone and make them feel safe and cared for.
I started working for Dependable Homecare almost 3 years ago and I absolutely love it here, The team works well together and I feel proud to be part of a company that truly cares about its clients and staff.. I also can't fault the support I have received after returning back from having my son. The role allows for flexible working around my childcare and I'd highly recommend it to any mum working in this industry! 💜

It has been a difficult time for the family over the last 18 months caring for my mother. Dependable has supported us all the way. All the staff, without exception, have been amazing. Nothing has been too much trouble. Always someone there at the end of the phone weekends as well. They became part of our family and sadly since mum's passing, we will miss them as well as mum. I chose to be a care assistant because I believe everyone deserves to be cared for. No matter their needs, I do my best to make sure they are well looked after and safe. I like that I can go to different clients and they all have different needs, it keeps my day interesting and means I am learning about them with each day that goes by. I chose dependable because they seemed like a really friendly company which I can confirm is true. All the staff are lovely and are great at their jobs. Supported with shadow shifts in the field and up to date training given. Its a great team and I am glad to be a part of it.

They look after my mum with care and a helping hand, they are always willing to talk to her and listen to her problems, and help over the last few months has been brilliant as I have had bad health problems myself and they have stepped in to feed and make drinks as well as make her comfortable, when I have not been around.
