Broke my nose for the first time.

Had surgery to ‘correct it’. Didn’t do much but the drugs were fantastic 🤣

Since then just the 1 more nose break from a swift left hook. Cheers xx

Downside of having a big old nose…easy to break. Up side…bare oxygen

Seriously proud of these three. Not for the lighthearted these bodybuilding preps. Takes a f**k load of grit and discipline.

It’s not easy even with a smooth run but throw lower back pain, shoulder injuries, tendinopathies, nerve irritation, muscle strains and you’re in for a rollercoaster 😅

Confusing session earlier…I pulled my groin 11 days ago playing football (shock)

Today was the first day I’ve properly loaded it since and it feels completely fine🤨

Just reminded me of when clients have come in and said they can’t even feel their issue today😂

Stacked the adductor machine. No issues really on the leg press using my normal load

Feel like I’m being lured into a false sense of security😅

Need to have a kick about to test it out before returning to football but very happy with that.

But you can act like one

A lot of you take your lifting and sports very seriously. I do myself.

But your answer to an injury or any pain is to ignore it, crack on and hope to goes away.

Being a professional means respecting your body. Allowing it to rest. Implementing rehabilitation and adapting your training.

You can’t pick and choose unfortunately. You can’t perform (relatively) and progress like a pro if you aren’t willing to do the boring parts like managing your injuries.

Sometimes that means saying no to things you really want to do because you know it’s the right thing to do long term.

It takes discipline and willpower but it’s all about the greater good. THE GREATER GOOD. (Hope you all get that one)

A good coach and therapist will take out all the guessing. Luckily for you I’m both😉 drop me a message if you need a hand
