✨️SAY SQUEEEEEEEEEZE! ✨️

🌸 On Satueday 25th November I had the pleasure of delivering a workshop to these lovely ladies on the following:

- Exercise & the Menstrual Cycle 🩸
- Menopause 👸🏼

🌸 We also discussed female contraception, HRT, ACL injuries in female athletes, PCOS and much more!

✨️ DO YOU LEAK WITH DOUBLE UNDERS BUT Are OKAY WITH SINGLES?! ✨️

🌸 This can be incredibly frustrating when you feel like you're nearly there with your bladder. Try the following:

1. Looking slightly up and ahead gives you a focus, you are less likely to start round your shoulders and curl forwards, putting more pressure on your bladder and pelvic floor.

2. Wearing cushioned shoes like runners means there is less impact going through the bladder. Therefor, your pelvic floor doesn't have to work quite as hard.

3. Break your reps up. The pelvic floor muscle gets tired like any other with high volume. Give it some rest for a few seconds then begin again.

4. Slow your pace down. This reduces fatigue setting into too quickly on the pelvic floor and, therefore, can delay leaks.

5. Don't lean too far back or upright. This makes the pelvic floor have to work harder and thereofe get tired more quickly - as a result meaning you'll leak sooner!

🌸 Alongside this you'll need assessment from a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. Pelvic floors exercises alone won't solve it unfortunately. It takes time and dedication like ant muscle strength training 💪🏼

🌸 Genuinely can't quite believe this - from starting out as a junior in the NHS I never thought Pelvic Health would be my speciality but here we are absolutely loving it!

🌸 Here's to the next 10 years hoping to further grow Pelvic Floor Fit Physiotherapy and educating people on the importance of Pelvic Health! This all alongside my NHS job as well supporting the ladies and gents in Medway!

✨️ What a great afternoon with these incredible bunch of ladies! It's such a pleasure to teach people that are so passionate about this patient/client group!

✨️ We had so much fun discussing all things exercising in pregnancy and post-natal as well as having a good giggle too!

IT'S BACK! ✨️🤰🤱🏋🏼‍♀️

🌸 This course has been on hold a for a few months but I've had a lot of interest to start it up again - with updates from the latest research! 🤓

🌸 The other added benefit is this time I shall be running this in-person as well as online! 💻

🌸 If you are interested please DM and you shall be the first to know when the upcoming dates and locations shall be!

🌸 If you are interested in hosting at your gym/box you get one free place! As long as there are a minimum of 5 participants!

🌸 So if you're a personal trainer or coach who has pregnant women wanting to do functional fitness training or Crossfit-style exercise, and then return to it post-natally this is the course for you!

🌸 The course prides itself on simplifying a lot of confusing and sometimes conflicting research that's our there, giving you the confidence to implement it straight away!
