Binoculars and bird book at the ready. The perfect way to spend an hour of mindfulness this Sunday. We have a very active border feeding area and 15 minutes in we have counted Collared Doves, Blue T**s, Sparrows, a Robin, a Dunnock and Magpies. Waiting for the Goldfinches and Blackcap to make an appearance. While you're watching for birds, notice the leaves, the colours, notice the leaves moving and take some nice nourishing deep breaths.

We're staying in a beautiful Airbnb in Cape Town this week. A delicious rain shower is creating the most beautiful sights, sounds and smells in the tropical garden, and the birds are elated 🌿🌦

Autumn, you smell wonderful 🍁As the damp sets in and the leaves start dissolving into the earth, there comes that rich earthy aroma, triggering the senses... similar to warm comforting smells like a crackling fire or bread baking in the oven that wrap around you like a comforting blanket 🍁

Despite living in a town at the moment, we have a fantastic local park at the back of us. It has its own little wood, river, and a sensory garden. I'm so lucky to be able to step into it every day.
