******* COMING UP IN MARCH - THE BLACK DENIMS ********


The Black Denims are dubbed Americana UK's Newest Scottish Country Supergroup. Fronted by Scott McPherson, 30, and accompanied by an expanse of 8 award-winning members (3 winners of BBC's Young Jazz/Trad Musician of the year), the band hail from diverse musical backgrounds, and seek to blend the disciplines of Americana Jazz, Folk, Bluegrass and Country into their Scottish songwriting lore.

They have just released their second album, 'Grateful For Small Mercies Act 2', which was a featured album on the BBC, and are fresh off the back of supporting Nashville Singer/Songwriter Hall of Famer Gretchen Peters at Barony Hall for Celtic Connections.

While retaining a Scottish charm, and with an emphasis on poetic lyricism and storytelling, the group are known for their energetic live performances and melancholic themes. Their series of mini-albums ‘Grateful For Small Mercies Act 1,2,3’ is their firm stamp on the new beginnings of Scottish folk music.

OPEN DAY Saturday 17 May GROUP SESSION at 4pm with the lovely Lin Crane Sound bath at an amazing £10pp as a beautiful closing ceremony. Prepare for a deep level relaxation of immersed in sound frequencies! Participants sit or lie on yoga mats while “bathed” in the frequency of particular instruments (including crystal bowls, chimes, native instruments, voice and gongs). Many physical and mental benefits, some that include relaxing, stress reduction, improved mood and sleep quality. Very good process for ‘shedding old to make room for the new’. NB Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat / blanket. Remember to wait for at least a minute after the sounds have stopped before moving and getting up as the resonation continues even in the silence crane
