Gordon Street Medical Centre

Gordon Street Medical Centre Welcome to Gordon Street Medical Centre's page! Following a review of our patient feedback, we have created this page in addition to our website.

This is a dedicated area for patients, which aims to share practice updates, key information and raise awareness of available healthcare services. Please do continue to visit the website to undertake activities such as to book an appointment, order your repeat prescriptions and access Online Consult. Your feedback is extremely important to us and so it is vital that we capture all comments that our patients make. To do so effectively and ensure we can continuously improve the services we provide for our patients, please raise any comments, compliments or complaints via the practice manager in the first instance or speak directly to the feedback team via the contact details below. Further information on how you can provide feedback is available in the ‘Comments, compliments and complaints leaflet’ which is available on the ‘Get in touch’ page on our website https://www.gtdhealthcare.co.uk/gordonstreetmedicalcentre/get-touch. Our Tameside Macmillan Unit garden has had a refresh to provide a sanctuary for patients undergoing cancer treatment and their families.

Tameside and Glossop NHS Charity has been named one of seven national winners of The Great Community Refresh - a nationwide competition by British sweet maker Swizzels, launched to celebrate 70 years of its popular Refreshers brand.

The funding has helped us breathe new life into this much-valued space, with new seating, vibrant flowers and sensory planting to help patients and families find calm during those challenging moments.

Bowel cancer screening is offered to people aged 60 to 74 to check for bowel cancer.

Screening can help detect cancer at an early stage when treatment is more effective. Screening can also check for and remove polyps which can go on to develop into cancer over time.
