✨ Reflecting on 2025 — A Year of Heart, Community & Recognition ✨
As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what has been one of the most meaningful years of my professional and personal life.
From the very beginning, my goal with Perry Jones Funeral Services has always been to serve our community with compassion, dignity, and unwavering support — and this year has truly embodied that mission.
Awards & Recognition we have received this year:
• Funeral Service Ethics Award 2025 — We were honoured to be named the winner at the Business Awards UK Funeral Services Awards, recognising the ethical care and professionalism we bring to every family we support.
• Funeral Service of the Year 2025/26 — Perry Jones Funeral Services was named Funeral Service of the Year at the North England Prestige Business Awards, a real testament to our team’s dedication.
• Best Funeral Service in Tameside — 2nd Year Running — We were incredibly proud to receive the Quality Business Award for Best Funeral Service in Tameside again in 2025 — a reflection of the trust our local community places in us.
• E2 Media Compassionate Funeral Director Award 2025 — Recognised as a compassionate leader in the funeral industry for outstanding care and service.
• Biz Women Awards 2025 — Community Champion — I was honoured to be recognised as the Community Champion at the Biz Women Awards 2025, celebrating the work we do not just in business, but in supporting and uplifting those around us.
Community Outreach, Volunteering & Annual Events
This year, I continued my support for Pauline Town, championing initiatives that strengthen our local community. I also continued my volunteer work with Purple Heart Wishes, helping grant special wishes to terminally ill adults—bringing comfort and joy to those who need it most.
I was proud to take part in their Charity Ball, even dressing as the Mad Hatter, as well as playing in a charity football game to raise further funds and awareness for this incredible cause.
Our annual Easter and Halloween events, in collaboration with Friends of Waterloo Park and Waterloo Action, were once again a huge success — bringing families and neighbours together while supporting our local community.
I also continued my support with the annual Rough Sleep for We Shall Overcome, helping to raise awareness and raise money to provide assistance for those experiencing homelessness.
Being part of the Baton of Hope Tameside Tour was one of the most powerful experiences of the year. Walking alongside local families, advocates and mental health organisations to raise awareness for su***de prevention was a reminder that care goes far beyond our funeral services — it’s about standing with people when they need it most.
❤️
To the families who trusted us during life’s most difficult moments, to my incredible team whose compassion never wavers, and to our community for your continued support — thank you. None of these achievements would be possible without you.
As we look forward to 2026, my heart is full of gratitude and hope. Here’s to continuing our mission of compassion, care, community and a few more charity challenges are being announced very soon.
