Our wonderful residents,families and team had the best time at that most wonderful time of the year today. It was party time and with the scene ready, our kitchen set out a delicious buffet for all to enjoy. There were traditional finger sandwiches, vol-au-vents, sausage rolls,pork pies,cocktail sausages and lots more. There were sweet treats too. Words can not describe how amazing it was. After the feasting, Jack Darcy arrived to perform his festive set of songs swing style. As usual we were singing,dancing and full of Christmas cheer. Thank you everyone for making today extra special. All that is left is to wish all a Merry Christmas and to fall contentendly to sleep.

We had a hoot when we were visited by Norfolk Owls on Friday. "This is a real treat to handle these magnificent birds,"exclaimed Meryl. Richard the owls handler was able to answer any questions and tell us lots of facts about the owls and how he had hand reared them. Did you know owls purr? Daphne experienced this as one little bird curled up in her lap and took a nap. This event is one of our exciting activities leading up to Christmas and with our party this week it's a jolly,holly time.

We had a musical afternoon of festive songs and cheer with Wymondham Ukelele Band. The group are totally voluntary and raise money for a different charity each year. This years cause is for children with cancer.
We sang along to popular choices such as Rudolph,White Christmas and favourite Carols. The afternoon was complimented with our high tea of mince pies,Christmas cake and iced sponge...a real treat. There was also a tipple of sherry on offer to bring g lots of Christmas cheer.

We're "Looking for the light" on Sunday evening at St Mary's as we continue our journey through the Advent Season. You can join in person or on our YouTube channel. It's always a moving service with special music from the choir as we fill the church with light, starting with a single candle.

We had a ding d**g of an afternoon with St Withburga hand bell ringers from Dereham.
The bells have a magical sound. It is fun, creative, friendly and aids wellbeing.
We all enjoyed a selection of festive songs which we sang along to.
After the performance, there was time to chat,eat mince pies and even have a go with the bells.

Aa part of our recycling project our SMO Tomasz has made these cheerful bespoke Christmas trees to bring festive cheer to our home. We hope you all enjoy them.

We’re spreading some Christmas cheer this December at Caring Homes! On Wednesday 3 December, friends, family and our local community are warmly invited to join us for a very special Festive Afternoon Tea at 3. 💜☕

Our much-loved tea trolley will be getting a seasonal makeover, filled with delicious homemade treats for everyone to enjoy, including:

We had a hauntingly good Halloween at Brooklyn House. Our team and residents had a fantastic time carving pumpkins,dressing up and spooky Bingo. We all felt a bit batty.
