Thanks for sending out this post Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre. Any one interested in Shiatsu, I'd love to hear from you.
Shiatsu sessions are now available on alternate Tuesday afternoons from the 17th February at the Axminster Wellbeing Centre.
Kate Handley has been practising Shiatsu with us for over 2 years, carrying out sessions on an adhoc basis. Now, in addition to these sessions, she will be with us on a regular basis, every other Tuesday afternoon between 2 and 6 pm. Feel free to give her a call on 07903741230 or email info@axevalleyshiatsu.co.uk to arrange a visit, have a chat and find out more about Shiatsu, or to book a session.
For the months of February and March, Kate is offering a 25% discount to new clients, at an incredible reduced rate of £30 for a 1-hour treatment.
Why not see if Shiatsu is something for you?
Shiatsu is a wonderful therapy. It was developed in Japan in the early 20th century but has its roots in ancient Chinese medicine. It is a therapy that works with the universal life force that flows through us all known as ki. Using touch and gentle manipulation, a Shiatsu practitioner helps ki flow smoothly through the various channels (meridians) in our bodies and find balance. With balance, the body feels at ease and is more able to heal itself.
Shiatsu can help with any number of complaints from stress and anxiety to aches and pains, digestive issues, problems with sleep, skin conditions, and more. Above all, it helps us become more aware of what’s going on with ourselves, both physically and emotionally. Shiatsu uses the same acupressure points as acupuncture but instead of needles, it uses thumb and finger pressure.
Shiatsu is received fully clothed, minus shoes, usually on a futon mattress on the floor. It can also be received on a therapy couch or in a chair. See www.axevalleyshiatsu.co.uk for more details about Kate and her practice.
