We have an ever growing, amazing bunch of incredible volunteers here at Emmett's Genies. Being an entirely volunteer run charity, these wonderful humans are essential and we couldn't do what we do without them!
Today, like every November, we hosted a volunteers thank you party to show our team how much we appreciate all their hard work. Here are the some of our volunteers, the lovely bunch that were able to join us today ⬇️
Extra shout out to Jay from Jays ices , who is a valued, generous supporter & volunteer. He provided complimentary hot drinks and even some ice cream to make today 👌🏻

Today I was invited to a lovely thank-you tea and cake gathering with Amy, Zoe, Emmett, Ida, and the wonderful team from Emmett’s Genies. Everyone knows how much we love this amazing charity at Legacy Funeral Services, so it was an incredible honour when Emmett himself asked me to become an official ambassador for the charity.

I was genuinely touched to be asked and incredibly proud to accept the role. It means so much to be able to support a cause that’s so close to my heart. 💛✨

For the past four years, we at Legacy have had the privilege of sponsoring their van, helping them continue their brilliant work in keeping Aylesbury clean, green, and cared for 🌍💚.

🌸 Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the lovely team from to our office in Aylesbury.

We enjoyed showing them around Legacy Funeral Services and then taking a visit together to Aylesbury Vale Crematorium . It was a wonderful chance to share what we do, answer questions, and spend some time connecting with fellow members of our local community.

Today, we had the honour of conducting a meaningful funeral service at the historic All Saints Church in Hillesden.

Set in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside, this remarkable 15th-century church is not only a place of worship but also a witness to centuries of English history. All Saints is a Grade I listed building and one of the finest surviving examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture.

What makes it even more unique is its role in the English Civil War. In 1644, the church and nearby manor house became a Royalist stronghold. It was besieged by forces under Oliver Cromwell, and after a fierce standoff, the garrison surrendered. Remarkably, much of the church structure survived, including its stunning stained-glass windows and beautifully carved stonework — reminders of both spiritual resilience and national history.

Today, it provided a deeply peaceful and dignified setting to honour a loved one’s life. We are always humbled to serve families in places where memory, heritage, and history come together so powerfully.

Oliver is turning 8 years old and raising money for the Hospice in loving memory of his mum, Hannah, who sadly passed away there in 2018 when Oliver was just a baby.

The weather is set to be hot, so cool off with a refreshing drink, support a wonderful cause, and help Oliver make a difference. 💛
