It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!🎶

Last Tuesday Haddenham Park hosted a Christmas craft fair to raise money for Age UK Buckinghamshire and what a brilliant day it was to see the local community come together to celebrate the festive season.🎄🎁

We were especially proud to see a few of our own clients hosting stalls themselves!

Events like this are a lovely reminder that it’s never too late to start (or return to!) a hobby. Whether its painting, knitting, crafting or trying something completely new. Creative activities are a fantastic way to stay connected, boost wellbeing and keep minds active in later life.

Why not take a little inspiration from our talented local crafters and give a new hobby a try this winter?💙

Residents Avril & Cath lit up the night as we enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies, and roasted chestnuts with our amazing neighbours 🧡

Huge well done to Francesca Flaxton for organising and using the event to raise funds for Dementia UK

Sunday 14th December

Spend an hour with Santa's helpers, including a Christmas crafting activity for the Children, followed by a story read by the man himself, Father Christmas, in the festively decorated events room at Haddenham Park Care Home.

There is a very small number of tickets available for this exclusive Rotary Santa event. If you have ever visited a Santa event hosted by Haddenham Rotary, you will know how special it is.

Each ticketed child will leave with a take-home gift.

Proceeds will be donated to Thames Valley Air Ambulance and other Rotary charities and local good causes.

Exciting times yesterday as we buried a time capsule with the children of Haddenham Community Junior School in our fabulous garden. Understandably the residents didn’t fancy the cold weather, although Cath did brave it!🦸‍♀️

The children truly understood the assignment, creating a legacy that reflects our community spirit in 2025.

Inside went: 📸 Photos,🏅 Achievement medals, 🎨 Drawings, ⚽ Football cards and 💌 Heartfelt letters. When Willow read her letter to her future self, there were definitely a few leaky eyes in the room! 😂

Joined by Richard Bucks Radio and Cllr David Truesdale, Chairman of Haddenham Parish Council, it made the occasion full of meaning, laughter, and memories for the future.

The children asked if they could return to us in 30 years time to unearth the capsule, so we’ll be placing a plaque to mark the spot and honour that promise. 🧡

A joy once again to welcome the Brownies to Haddenham Park for a magical evening of Christmas arts and crafts. Together with our residents, they created beautiful decorations, shared laughter, and filled the room with festive cheer. 🎄

A huge thank you to Francesca Flaxton and the Brownies for bringing their energy and kindness, and to our residents for embracing the spirit of Christmas with such enthusiasm. 💖
