A truly, heart warming sewing event took place on Saturday in support of Project Linus UK, bringing together Haddenham Park residents and local volunteers for a day of creativity, connection, and community spirit.

It was Brownie magic in the building last night! Our brilliant visitors got stuck into designing their own plant pots, full of colour, giggles, and big imaginations.

And this is exactly what our Community Room was designed for, shared moments, shared laughter, and a space where every generation can create something joyful together. 🌱💛

Residents and volunteers came together to create comfort quilts for Project Linus on Saturday and the energy was incredible. Great job Jane B, Candy, Francesca, Jane T, Jane TM, Janet, Jenny, Lore, Nicola, Rachel, Ruth, Stella, Susan and Valerie.

Brian’s sing‑along was pure magic. The set was full of heart, humour, and classic tunes that get everyone joining in. 🧡

Group singing has been shown to lift mood, reduce stress, and spark connection making moments like Brian’s sing‑along more than just entertaining; it was a meaningful wellbeing booster. 💪

🌱 Gardening Club with Elaine today and the session was all about soil, seeds, and serious teamwork.

There’s nothing quite like the buzz of getting stuck in, hands busy and a table full of future blooms.

If you’re looking for a weekly Memory Café nearby, we can highly recommend the Memories Café Thame at the Snooker Club. They run sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and full of laughter.

Ann‑Marie even tried cards bingo for the first time today, and it was an absolute giggle!

A huge thank you to Karen and the wonderful volunteers for creating such a supportive space for everyone ❤️

Our “Mugs and Giggles” coffee mornings are becoming one of our favourite weekly highlights and it’s no surprise why. Good company, warm mugs, and plenty of giggles… what more could we ask for?

It’s been wonderful to see these mornings grow in popularity, and we’d love to welcome even more friendly faces.

Come along next Friday at 10:30am for a relaxed catch‑up, a cosy cuppa, and a lovely start to the day. ☕️🍰

We feel very privileged to be able to offer the wonderful team at Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity the use of our Family Room here at Haddenham Park.

Their Bereavement Listening Service provides a safe, confidential space supported by trained counsellors and specially trained volunteers who are there for as long as someone needs them. It’s an incredible source of comfort for those navigating loss.
