Great to see driver training with the GS Harness.
We're proud of our harness, particularly the pulley/force equalisation system which allows safe rotational training of the neck while under loading. We use a marine standard pulley, designed for yachts.
Why? Because of it's high max rolling load (245kg) which means it will continue to function as a pulley despite very high loads. The pulley is essential as it ALWAYS keeps the director of the force in the midline of the neck.
This is of particular importance when performing peak force testing from a safety POV and for repeatability of muscle testing as you will always control the direction of force applied to the neck/other parts of the body.

Great to see Formula One Driver and his performance coach Ben Thorne] using the Gatherer Systems Trainer.

Formula One drivers are highly tuned athletes. They can experience up to 5.8G when braking. If we assume the weight of the head/helmet is 7kg, that’s almost 41kg of load the neck must tolerate. If we also assume 4 breaking points/lap and 60 laps, that’s almost 10,000kg of load throughout the entire race. Then, double that for cornering.

Using our device, we can help objectively determine if they have the physical capability to manage the rigorous demands of the sports. We are proud to be at the cutting-edge of sports performance technology.

We are proud to unveil our latest product, the GS Watch. A personal trainer and rehabilitation device that fits on your wrist. We’ve been working on this for a long time and I’m excited to finally be able to tell you about it. It’s our most advanced training device to date.

How does it work? The GS Watch wirelessly and automatically pairs with a load cell (a device measuring force) that contains a transmitter. By attaching one end of the load cell to a fixed point (e.g. a door using a door anchor) and the other to an exercise device e.g. handle, it becomes a training device.

The GS Watch can:
1️⃣ Assess the strength of all major muscle groups (72 total testing positions)

2️⃣ Bespoke training. With the touch screen interface, choose your desired physiological profile e.g. hypertrophy, endurance, power… it will create a bespoke training programme and define your:
💪 Training load (kg) – A % of your peak force for each muscle group.
🏋️‍♀️ Reps and Sets
⏱ Speed of movement
🧘‍♂️ Rest period in between sets

3️⃣ Assess the fatiguability of your muscles.

How do we maximal loading the cervical spine safely? Unlike many training devices which use a ring/halo system for head attachments, we use a single strap with a pulley system attached to each end. Why is this important? 🤔
👉🏻Fine head movements which can occur from the user/athlete while training/testing can alter the director/vector of the force into undesirable areas e.g. facet joints. This can cause injury or exacerbate an underlying injury. The pulley accommodates for the finest of movements, to ALWAYS keep to direction of force in the midline/centre of the cervical spine - the strongest and safest part.
