Staff Spotlight | Meet Darryl - Our Incredible Head Chef

With over 23 years of dedication to our home, Darryl is a truly valued member of our Lakeside family. His passion, creativity, and commitment to providing delicious, home-cooked meals have made him an essential part of daily life at Lakeside.
When he’s not preparing wonderful cakes and hearty meals for our Residents, Darryl enjoys experimenting with new recipes, getting lost in a good book, and most of all, listening to music!

A lifelong music enthusiast, Darryl has built an impressive vinyl record collection over the years. He also hosts his own radio show and has been DJing in his spare time for the past 25 years, bringing great energy and tunes wherever he goes!

We’re excited to share that Darryl will be hosting his next live music event:

All are welcome to join! Many of our Lakeside staff are already looking forward to supporting him, it promises to be a fantastic evening of music and fun.

Delightful afternoon at Lakeside Care Home! 🎶 The Aylesbury Town centre Players brought their ukulele charm, filling the air with sweet melodies. 💫 We loved getting to know the players and sharing stories. A heartwarming moment came when one player shared that their mum was a former resident here at Lakeside! ❤️ We also celebrated a special couple's upcoming nuptials – wishing them a joyous wedding day in November! 🎉 Congratulations to the happy couple! 💕
