✨We had the pleasure of the beautiful sounds of the harp 🪉 that pulled on all of our heart strings here at lakeside 💓.

We even had an added extra with the flute. 🪈
✨Jane was great playing tunes from musicals and classical songs that was very relaxing with not a sound in the room, you could hear a pin drop. it was truly lovely! ✨

Mary had been part of the Lakeside family for over 13 wonderful years. She sadly passed away earlier this month and will be deeply missed by everyone in the home.
Mary was loved by all, always joining in with daily activities and often taking the role of our bingo caller. She also loved visiting Gala Bingo with her friends, where she shared many happy moments and laughter.
She played a big part in planning and running activities and events in the home, especially taking the lead on raffles and making sure everyone bought a ticket from her! Mary also enjoyed spending her days completing jigsaw puzzles and encouraging others to join in with her.
A huge fan of Daniel O'Donnell, Mary was thrilled to receive a special video message from him wishing her a happy 80th birthday this April.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, enthusiasm, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
May she rest in peace.

Staff Spotlight | Meet Darryl - Our Incredible Head Chef

With over 23 years of dedication to our home, Darryl is a truly valued member of our Lakeside family. His passion, creativity, and commitment to providing delicious, home-cooked meals have made him an essential part of daily life at Lakeside.
When he’s not preparing wonderful cakes and hearty meals for our Residents, Darryl enjoys experimenting with new recipes, getting lost in a good book, and most of all, listening to music!

A lifelong music enthusiast, Darryl has built an impressive vinyl record collection over the years. He also hosts his own radio show and has been DJing in his spare time for the past 25 years, bringing great energy and tunes wherever he goes!

We’re excited to share that Darryl will be hosting his next live music event:

All are welcome to join! Many of our Lakeside staff are already looking forward to supporting him, it promises to be a fantastic evening of music and fun.
