A little winter reminder…..What is reflexology? 👣.
Reflexology is a gentle, non invasive calming and balancing complementary therapy that may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions by encouraging the body to balance and heal itself.
Reflexology has been practised for thousands of years to promote healing and whole body balance.
Every organ, structure and system of your body has a corresponding reflex point on your feet and hands. A reflexologist uses their hands, fingers and thumbs to apply gentle pressure to these points. This pressure stimulates the corresponding organ or system. As reflexology is a holistic therapy each treatment works the whole body (on your feet) encouraging the movement of energy and the release of blockages along the nerve channels, restoring normal function.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages from the very young to the very eldery as treatments can be adjusted or adapted for your individual needs.
It is said that three quarters of disease is caused by stress. Reflexology is not only and excellent stress reliever but also an effective preventative therapy. Reflexology can be a deeply relaxing and energising therapy, improving circulation, reducing stress and anxiety, improving your wellbeing and improving sleep quality.
