Autumn is such a beautiful time of year — a true feast for the senses. The changing colours of the leaves, the songs of the birds, and the feel of the wind against our skin all remind us to slow down and simply be.

Even a short walk in nature, rain or shine, can help us feel calmer and more grounded when we take time to notice what’s around us.

I love this quote!

Viktor Frankl — an Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist, psychologist, and Holocaust survivor — believed that our deepest drive is the search for meaning. He taught that psychotherapy’s role is to help people discover that meaning for themselves.

As we head into a new month, take a little time to reflect on your own why. Set a goal that gives you a sense of purpose — whether it’s something that carries you through November or simply helps you make the most of today.

When you hold onto that sense of purpose and believe in yourself, you’ll find it easier to overcome challenges, stay motivated, and enjoy that wonderful feeling of achievement when you get there.

Try these calm-boosting habits to help reduce anxiety from the moment you wake up:

🧘 1. Take 3 slow, mindful breaths before getting out of bed

📵 2. Avoid checking your phone for the first 30 minutes

🪩 3. Repeat a grounding affirmation like “I can handle today”

🚶 4. Move your body—even 5 minutes counts

The smallest shifts can create real momentum.
