A polite request for patients who have been given a blood pressure monitor from the surgery - who are not using them this week to monitor blood pressure for a clinician - to return their monitor to the surgery so that another patient can make use of it.

GP Practices and NHS Dentists will be closed on Thursday 25th of December and will reopen on Monday 29th December 2025, and again from Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd of January 2026 until Monday 5th January 2026. Some community pharmacists will remain open during this period to answer questions on choosing and using the right medicine and provide advice on treating everyday ailments.

Some GP Practices will be closed on Tuesday 18 November, Wednesday 26 November and Thursday 27 November 2025 to carry out staff training. During these times the Ayrshire Urgent Care Service will provide urgent care and support to patients of practices which are closed.

Patients or Community Pharmacies who require to contact a participating GP Practice urgently during the time they are closed for Protected Learning Time should call the Ayrshire Urgent Care Service on 01563 826930.

All GP Practices, most dentists and community pharmacies have public holiday closures on Friday 19 September and Monday 22 September. Some community pharmacies will remain open during this period and can answer questions on choosing and using the right medicine and provide advice on treating everyday ailments. NHS 24 also has a number of pharmacists who are able to answer medicine and pharmacy-related questions over the telephone on 111.
