⭐️🎄 It’s 2 weeks to Christmas!! 🎄⭐️

In May this year, we raised awareness of the impact of screens during Screens Awareness Week.

As we get closer to Christmas, it’s important to think about the presents we buy for wee ones. There are lots of lovely toys out there which are totally screen-free and positively benefit communication skills, imaginative play and attention spans 👍😊

We’ve pulled together some of the benefits of screen-free toys below…happy shopping!🎄🎅🏻🧸🚂🪁

Congratulations to the team at Children’s Hearings Scotland who are now Communication Friendly 👏

Numerous Children’s Panel volunteers in South Ayrshire have now completed Total Communication Training and have a range of Boardmaker visual tools to support children & young people 💜

We look forward to further training with Children’s Hearing Scotland in 2026 😊

We had a super training session with staff from Connect, Ayr and Ayr Food Pantry this week - great discussions about the use of supportive communication strategies and lots of Makaton signing practice! 😊👏
