To raise the awareness and negate the stigma attached with mental health issues in general public in Pakistan. Psychiatric Consultation via Skype.

I am working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Scotland for the past 6 years.I currently work as a Consultant Psychiatrist for Adults with intellectual disabilities in South Ayrshire, Scotland. My work involves Assessment and Management of mental health problems in Adults with learning disabilities in the Inpatient, Forensic, Outpatient and Community setting. I also work for Scottish Mental Welfare Commission as a Designated Medical Practitioner. I act as an Expert Psychiatrist and assess patients in High Security,Forensic, General Adult, Old Age and Rehabilitation settings. I have a vast experience in Scottish Mental Health Act. I provide Expert Witness reports for Scottish Sheriff Courts and Mental Health Tribunals. My work involves assessment of patients in prison services and high secure forensic settings. I provide Psychiatric expertise at Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), Care Programme Approach (CPA), Adult Support and Protection (ASP) and other multidisciplinary team meetings. I am actively involved with teaching and training of core psychiatric trainees, medical and nursing students and Allied health professionals. I am an examiner for University of Glasgow School of Medicine. I have special interest in Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry and have clinical experience in management of people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD and other Neurodevelopmental Disorders. I am an Epilepsy specialist with knowledge of SIGN and NICE guidelines, and detailed clinical experience in management of seizures in psychiatric and intellectually disabled patients. I also specialise in Diagnosis and Management of Dementia’s and Organic Mental Disorders.
