I do.

And its embarassing to let people know whats actually going on.

I was diagnosed in 2007 after experiencing blood loss and mucus when visiting the loo.

Scary!

After some blood tests and a colonoscopy, a diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis was given.

Its been on and off since then with my last big flare being about 9 years ago.

When I had my daughter it was great throughout pregnancy. However shortly after that, I relocated and left my job and support network. Pair that with sleepless nights and being a first time Mum.

Woahhhhhhhh!! That was all just too much for me.

Sleep when the baby sleeps? Nope!

Any cries or not quite sure what she needed made me worry, and my stomach would flip and I'd be in panic mode. Lack of sleep made my symptoms worse.

My nervous system was out of whack and it triggered the worse flare up I've had.

I spent hours reading my daughter books when I was on the loo to keep her entertained. Left my trolley (several times) mid-shop to run to the toilet. Had 8 weeks of steroids while the new meds kicked in.

It really is awful and anyone who has it, has my sympathy. It can be totally debilitating and is a complex disease that affects everone differently.

ANYWAY...

The reason I'm raising this is because I know that:

♡ Behind the smile or 'I'm fine' there can be pain

♡ It's not just a dodgy belly

♡ Invisible illnesses exist

♡ There is no cure, just treatments

♡ Fatigue is real - it's not just being tired

♡ It can be embarrassing to talk about

♡ You need quick access to facilities

♡ You may have a stoma

Happy December!!

This week HAS to be better than last.
Last week was a s**t show!
Tears. Internal angst. Leaving keys and being locked out. TWICE.
DRIVING the kids to school and WALKING home and wondering why the car wasn't on the drive (c'mon fess up I can't be the only one).
And that's just a snippet 🫠
But we move.
More tea. More sleep. More fresh air. More kitchen dancing. More compassion to myself.

My business is evolving, and so am I.

When I started my mobile business 10 years ago, I became the person I needed at that time.

As a first-time mum who had relocated within the first three months of my baby's life, I would have given my right arm for someone to come and tuck me up nice and warm, massage my sore bits, make me so comfortable that I could truly relax, and not be judged for my messy home, clothes horse full of baby clothes, the new body I had, or maybe even comforted after a good old cry!

10 years on I still do that 😊

However my needs have changed and once again I couldnt find exactly what I wanted so I made it for you 🤗

☆I want the sniper like precision of a clinical treatment
☆I want the warmth, comfort and surroundings of a holistic treatment, give me ALL the soft blankets, essential oils and singing bowls please
☆I want a treatment that is for created for me and my needs on the day
☆I want deep touch that is humane
☆I want ambiante lighting and not to feel like I'm on an operating table
☆I want to be tucked up and looked after
☆I want peace while having my treatment
☆I want compassion and to know that there is a loo close by if I need it (hello chronic inflammatary disease)

So that's where I am now. If you're a fussy cow like me, please do come and see me 😂

Here is my new pricelist that will come into effect on 1st Jan 26.

As you can see, I have done away with a traditional treatment list as you never just get a standard hotstone massage or a deep tissue massage and never a swedish! That just gets booked because you dont know what to book in for 🤣 so I've taken the decision fatigue away. Book your preffered time and well formulate the treatment together.

You might get Breathwork and Amma to calm and ground you, then deep precise shoulder and glute work, and scalp massage and a bit of thai foot massage, oh and some body drumming and chimes and myofascial leg pulls. Because that is what my sessions look like - all with slow, intentional, melty massage.

Mobile appointments will still be available for your convenience with a £30 surcharge added for local postcodes (Troon, Preswick, Alloway, Ayr, Annbank, Coylton, Monkton) Message for cost if further afield.
