Many will know that Freedom have been fundraising for a much needed 2nd vehicle, it's taking 4 trips to collect our members and we've had to say no to some.
Today we've had fantastic news that Badsey Parish Council have given us a donation of £3000 towards it. I really do feel blessed that the community I live in are continually supporting Freedom, it certainly shows that Badsey parish council are working together with organisations in their parish.
This will not only help Freedom clients but also residents of Badsey who struggle to get out , but want to visit our cafe for a coffee and a catch up with people. All they need to do is ring 830200, and we will collect them. From everyone at Freedom we really can't thank Badsey Parish Council enough.
So my next fundraising idea for Freedom is to purchase a caravan at Devon Cliffs. Exmouth. A lot of people with learning disabilities struggle to have a holiday because of the costs involved, they not only have to pay for themselves , travel , accommodation and also the support worker that goes with them. So if Freedom have a caravan , hopefully costs could be kept to a minimal and therefore they can go and have a few days away. Devon Cliffs caters for all age ranges , not that far to travel and close to the beach. So if there's any kind people out there who'd like to help us fundraise for this we'd be most grateful.
