Been on this site a while now class of 81 84 rmn traing never see anyone from those years on this site do remember some other people our class was last of old training . 32 in the class many of us went on to do well.

Hi there. was lucky enough to see round the old place before it was redeveloped so I remember a lot of it. I've always loved old Victorian hospitals having spent a lot of my childhood in Stobhill but Gartloch really epitomises the village hospital idea. I live locally and drive past frequently but was looking to see what this building was? tried searching old OS maps but can't find out any info amd there's no trace of it at all now. can amyone help? Thanks.

Hi, I started my nursing life in Gartloch Hospital in 1993. Moved to Parkhead when it closed. Tonight was the first time I returned to the famous turrets. I felt lots of different emotions but mostly happy ones. I don’t miss how mental health was tackled in those days but I miss my ward and the staff I worked with. Please publish x
