These meetings are run by Baslow Patients with a practice representative present 👥. They’re a great opportunity to hear practice updates 🏥, share any concerns 💬, and explore ways we can support each other and the practice 🤝.

🎄 **Christmas Prescription Reminder** 🎄

Please remember to order your repeat prescriptions in good time for the festive period.

Our practice works on a **3-working-day ordering cycle**, and the following are **not working days*:
• Christmas Day
• Boxing Day
• New Year’s Day

Our dispensary team is extremely busy during this period due to the Christmas break, so fast-tracking prescriptions will be kept to a minimum.
Ordering early helps us ensure everyone receives their medication on time.

🚗 Polite Notice – Practice Car Park Use

We kindly ask that patients and members of the public do not use the practice car park outside of our opening hours.

Recently, we have experienced unauthorised vehicles using the car park during local Chatsworth events. This has caused difficulties for our gardening and maintenance team, who require full access to the site over the weekend.
To ensure the safety and smooth running of the practice, out-of-hours parking is not permitted.

Please use The MINOR INJURIES UNIT at The Whitworth Hospital - walk in service 🏥🤕
Please use Accident & Emergency services in the event of a medical emergency 🚨

We do not have a scheduled afternoon training session in December 2025.

The Practice will be closed for Training this afternoon (Wednesday 8th October) from 1pm. However we shall be offering an appointment booked only flu vaccination clinic 💉. Please attend if you have booked an appointment.

‼️However all prescription and reception queries will not be available due to training‼️

☎️ Please contact 111 should you need medical assistance/advice
🧑‍⚕️ Local pharmacies are also able to assist with acute treatments.
🏥 Please use the Minor Injuries Unit at The Whitworth Hospital if appropriate.

The Practice shall re-open as normal Thursday morning from 8am. ☑️

⭐️ We are hosting an NHS App session at The Wheatsheaf - Baslow DE45 1SR on Tuesday 9th September starting time 10:30am - 11:30am
All welcome. This session is to help download the NHS APP and provide further information.
As part of the NHS 10 year plan the app is becoming more accessible for patients to view their medical records and view appointments. ⭐️

📢 Bank Holiday Closure – Monday 25th August

Dear Patients,
Baslow Health Centre will be closed on Monday 25th August for the Summer Bank Holiday.
If you require your usual repeat prescription, please allow 3 working days for processing. As Monday is not a working day, please take this into account when ordering.

We kindly ask for your understanding with last-minute requests, as we may not always be able to action these due to stock availability. Our deliveries will resume on Tuesday 26th August.

For urgent medication/medical assistance needs over the weekend, please visit your local Pharmacy or contact NHS 111 for advice. 💊

As always, we are here to support you, but please note that we are unable to fast-track standard repeat prescriptions over the Bank Holiday weekend.

💬 We understand that visiting the GP can sometimes be stressful, especially when you're unwell or worried. Our team is here to help, and we always aim to treat everyone with kindness and respect.

🙏 In return, we kindly ask that all patients treat our staff with the same courtesy. We have a zero tolerance policy towards any form of abuse, aggression, or threatening behaviour—whether in person, over the phone, or online. Unfortunately there have been a recent series of events that have resulted in this post.
