Tuesdays at Burton Closes Hall is Arts and crafts morning, but we thought we would do some festive crafts and build a ginger bread house donated by one of the wonderful residents families here at Burton Closes.

We had a wonderful time making the ginger bread house and it’s tastes amazing!

This afternoon we played Dominos a games enjoyed by all 😊

Well what a lovely day we have had here at Burton Closes Hall today.

Busy making cards and Christmas gifts for our wonderful visitors!

We have had a fantastic performance from the wonderful Youlgreave WI choir this afternoon.

Singing Christmas 🎄 carols and a perfect recorder performance which was amazing.

We have had a great afternoon listening to the wonderful ladies singing from the heart ❤️ and making the residents afternoon full of joy and happiness, smiles could been seen all around the room.

The residents and staff all had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the performance.

Thank you ladies for coming to visit us today and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

It’s been a creative Thursday here at Burton Closes Hall.

Thursday is creative morning and the residents have been busy making and designing their very own Christmas cards.

Then in the afternoon we managed to have a few games of Jenga and a good singalong to some Christmas songs to get us all in the Christmas spirit 🌲

A great day filled with fun, laughter and making wonderful memories ❤️

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄 here at Burton Closes Hall in Bakewell. Staff and residents have been working together getting the decorations up and ready for the festive season.

It’s been a busy month here at Burton Closes Hall in Bakewell.
Playing board games, colouring, painting, listening to music, dancing, walking in Bakewell and trips to the pub.

We have been busy preparing for the Remembrance Day with decorations and watching the service on a big screen.

Had a lovely trip out to Youlgreave with one of the wonderful residents to meet friends and make memories.

Fabulous fireworks on Bonfire night!

Celebrate children in need with a fun filled packed day of games and laughter.

Now we are preparing for Christmas making decorations for the care home.

Well it was a spooky week last week at BurtonCloses Hall in Bakewell.
We all had an amazing time celebrating Halloween.
The residents have been making Halloween decorations, making and decorating cakes and biscuits for our Halloween party.
We celebrated Halloween 🎃 at our baby bonding group held on Wednesday and we had a wonderful time dancing, singing and playing to spooky music 👻 The children dressed up in their Halloween costumes and they all had some treats from our residents.
Thursday we were busy doing last minute decorations, table lanterns, pumpkin carving and colouring pictures to display around the home.
Friday was our Halloween party and we all had a fantastic spooky time. All the residents had witches hats and we had a spooktacula table of delicious treats made by the residents.
The party was in full swing with party songs, games and spooky music and to finish the day we had some Halloween treats.
A great finish to a wonderful howlish 👻 week.
Thank you to everyone that came and supported our Halloween events.

What a busy week we had last week at Burton Closes Hall in Bakewell. We have been very busy decorating and making lots of decorations for our Halloween party 🥳 the residents have loved making the decorations and colouring in some wonderful pictures. It is looking 👀 amazing 👻

On Tuesday we did our regular walk down to Bakewell, but took a detour to the Monsal trail and we really enjoyed the fresh air and wonderful views.

A lovely baby group morning this week, the resident absolutely love to see the children and it’s wonderful to see them interact with each other, just melts your heart ❤️

Thursday was board games morning and we had a great game of dominos and cards.

Friday was our wear Pink day 🩷 for breast cancer charity. It was a lovely morning enjoyed by all. Cake, cuppa, music, a quiz and not forgetting bingo. We also managed to raise money for the fantastic charity which is always a bonus! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our event.

Roll on next week for our Halloween 🎃 week!
