At Balderton Surgery, we have been piloting a new way of running our acute, same-day emergency appointments to better support our patients 🩺

We are currently trialling a drop-in clinic system. Patients can continue to contact the surgery at 8am ⏰ or request urgent help via the app 📱. These requests are then reviewed by our triaging GPs, and patients are invited to attend a drop-in clinic within a 1.5-hour time frame.

If you have used our drop-in clinic, we would really value your feedback 💬 Please share your thoughts directly with the surgery, and if possible, leave a review on Google ⭐

Your feedback is vital in helping us make the right decisions and ensure we provide the best possible access to same-day acute appointments 🙌

We want to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Practice Nurse, Emma.

Over the past few weeks, Emma has gone above and beyond — running her own practice nurse clinic while also covering the healthcare assistant's blood clinic while we’ve had a team member off poorly. Despite the extra workload, Emma has remained positive, dedicated, and committed to making sure our patients continue to receive the care they need.

Your hard work and willingness to step in and help the team has not gone unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and for your commitment to not letting our patients down.

Today, we were reminded just how special our team is. 💐

One of Dr Diana’s lovely patients visited the surgery today to deliver a beautiful bunch of flowers as a thank you for the care and support she has received while being unwell over the past few weeks.

Dr Diana is not only an incredible GP to her patients, but also a hugely valued member of our team. She is always there to support and guide our other clinical staff and non-clinical staff, and her dedication never goes unnoticed.

Moments like this truly highlight the difference compassionate care can make.

Today marks Loretta’s last day with the Surgery💙

Loretta has been our Surgery Pharmacist for the past
3 years, and during that time she has been an invaluable part of our team. Our patients have truly loved her for her kindness, professionalism and dedication to care.

We are proud to share that Loretta has recently completed her ACP (Advanced Clinical Practitioner) training. Following this fantastic achievement, she has decided to take the next step in her career and join a surgery where she will be working full-time in her ACP role.

While we are excited for her and this new chapter, she will be very much missed by both staff and patients.

We would like to thank Loretta for everything she has given to the practice and wish her every success in her future career — we know she will be amazing 🌟
