Four flower arrangements on the table by 11 o'clock and none of us could quite believe we'd made them.

Janet brought the flowers and the scissors. She's one of our regulars. Sat us all down, talked us through it, and by the end of the morning the whole place smelled like a garden.

This Christmas at Shires, Luton, families were invited to create memory baubles for our memory tree, while neighbours left messages on our Never Alone Wall for those finding this season hard. Words of kindness, love, and support.

Sally wanted to see it through.

For years, she helped families as a funeral arranger. Right up to the day of the funeral.
But her role ended there.

She wanted to be there for the whole journey.

So she trained as a funeral conductor. Then became a funeral director.
Now she's there from the first phone call to the final goodbye.
