Reminder of my policy 💕
Aftercare
You should be extra gentle with your gel/acrylic nails for the first 24-48 hours after they are applied. Although the material used dries in minutes, they are not very strong until the bonding process has been completed.
Avoid hot baths / hot tubs or saunas for the first 48 hours as wet heat can weaken and make the nails lift.
After 48 hours, wash hands immediately after swimming and hot tubs to remove the chlorine which can weaken the nails and fade polish colours.
Do not pick or peel the gel off as this damages natural nails.
Wear rubber gloves when you wash up, clean or attend to your garden. Harsh detergents will make your nail enhancements brittle and more prone to breakage and if you are wearing gel polish too much cleaning and associated products can compromise the gel.
Treat your nail extensions with care. Car doors, kitchen cupboards and switches can all cause breakages. When wearing nail enhancements always avoid pulling backwards against the tips of the nails; this could cause injury or breakage. So, don’t pull your laundry out of the washer with your nails and use a spoon to open cans/ring pulls. Remember, nails are jewels not tools!
Use a cuticle oil and hand cream daily as moisturising your nails will encourage healthy nail growth.
Avoid moisturisers, sun cream or tanning products which contain lanolin, petroleum or mineral oil. These will cause nail enhancements to weaken and ‘lift’. Wear gloves for applying tanning lotion.
If there are any signs of lifting or damage to the nails it is important to contact the salon as soon as possible. Water and bacteria can accumulate under lifted nails."
If it’s over my 72hour free repair time there will be a charge of £3 per nail to repair any damaged ones.
If it is over 2 weeks you will be due a new set.
