As winter loosens its hold and the first whispers of spring emerge, we gather in the energy of Imbolc which is a time of renewal, purification, and reawakening. Imbolc invites us to tend to the inner flame that has been quietly burning through the darker months, ready now to grow brighter. It’s a season for planting intentions, clearing stagnation, and aligning with new beginnings.

This Reiki Initiation Path harnesses the gentle yet potent light of Imbolc to awaken your inner healer. Across six sacred weeks, we’ll journey through the Usui Reiki system from foundational practice to deep energetic embodiment. Together, we’ll release what feels heavy and stagnant, reconnect to your intuitive gifts, and cultivate the confidence to channel Reiki energy with clarity and grace.

This path is more than training, it’s a ceremonial unfolding. You’ll be guided through teachings, attunements, and energetic experiences designed to support your personal growth and healing as well as your ability to support others. The Imbolc energy will help you ignite fresh inspiration and set intentions that align with your true calling.

Whether you’re beginning your Reiki journey or returning to the energy for deeper mastery, this six-week experience is an immersion in light, renewal, and empowerment.

Winter Wellbeing: Caring for Your Energy in the Darker Months

Winter is a season that invites us to conserve energy. Shorter days affect our circadian rhythm, which can influence mood, sleep quality, and immunity. Lower sunlight means our bodies produce less serotonin, and studies have shown this can contribute to seasonal fatigue and emotional dips.

Instead of pushing through at full speed, winter asks us to nourish our systems with a little more intention.

Our immune system thrives when the nervous system feels supported. Winter asks us to slow down, but modern life rarely allows it. From a physiological perspective, our circadian rhythms shift with the darker months, melatonin rises earlier, serotonin drops with reduced sunlight, and immune function can weaken under chronic stress. Supporting ourselves through winter means honouring these natural rhythms instead of fighting them.

Simple science-backed habits make a big difference: getting morning light exposure to balance mood-regulating hormones, maintaining good sleep hygiene, nourishing with warming whole foods, and practising gentle movement to keep circulation strong. Holistically, it’s also a season for reflection and rest, tending to the inner world as much as the outer. When we listen to the wisdom of winter, we emerge into spring not depleted, but restored.

There’s something ancient and powerful about women gathering in circle. Studies in community psychology and neuroscience show that connection and belonging are essential for mental health, with oxytocin levels rising simply from shared presence and empathy. The Luna Society is my way of creating that space, a modern sanctuary where women can exhale, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and each other.

Each gathering offers a blend of guided meditation, journaling, gentle sharing, and soulful ritual. It’s not about perfection or performance; it’s about being real. Over time, circles like this help reduce feelings of isolation and increase a sense of meaning and purpose. They remind us that healing often happens together, not alone.

Swedish massage is one of the most widely practised and well-researched forms of therapeutic touch. It uses a combination of long gliding strokes, kneading, gentle stretching, and rhythmic tapping to relax muscles, support circulation, and calm the nervous system. Studies published in The International Journal of Neuroscience and The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine show that even a single session of Swedish massage can lower cortisol (the stress hormone) while increasing serotonin and dopamine, natural chemicals that lift mood and promote deeper rest.

Beyond relaxation, Swedish massage improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage, helping the body clear out metabolic waste and bring fresh oxygen to tired muscles. It can ease stiffness, support recovery after exercise, and help manage chronic stress or tension-related headaches.

In my treatments, the intention is not only to release physical tightness but also to help the whole system unwind. When the body feels safe and supported, it naturally moves toward balance, muscles soften, breathing deepens, and the mind follows.
