ALEXANDER, David Gordon (Davy), passed away 5th February 2026 suddenly at hospital. Late of Connor, Ballymena. Husband of Agnes, much loved father of Julie, Anne and Grace, father-in-law of Robert, Derek and Paul, devoted grandfather of Cameron, Denver, Grace, Molly and Aaron.

Service of thanksgiving for the life of Davy will be held in Alan Francey’s Funeral Church on Sunday 8th February 2026 at 2pm followed by interment in Connor New Cemetery.

HUTCHINSON, Jean Elizabeth (née Heslip), called home 4th February 2026 peacefully at hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Late of Cullybackey. Much loved wife of Sam, devoted mother of Sandra and George, loving mother-in-law of Trevor and Helen, cherished Nannie of Philip and Mark and a dear sister of Monalene and the late Robert.

Following a private family burial, a service of thanksgiving for the life and witness of Jean will be held in Cullybackey Elim Church Shellinghill Road, Cullybackey BT42 1NR on Saturday 7th February 2026 at 12noon.

SPIERS, GREG – Greg’s wife Marbeth and family circle in Co. Antrim and Londonderry wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. We would like to thank everyone who sent cards and messages, telephoned, called at the home, attended the funeral, sent donations, or helped in anyway. To all the family, friends and neighbours who have been so supportive following Greg’s passing, it is very much appreciated. We would like to thank Rev. Tom Shaw for conducting the funeral and graveside services and Karen Jardine for taking part in the funeral service. Thanks also to organist Elizabeth Wilson and to Tullyglass House Hotel for providing the refreshments. Many thanks to Dr McCloskey and the staff at Laurel House, Ward C7 at Antrim Area Hospital, the MacMillan staff and district nursing team for all their care and support to Greg. We are grateful to Alan Francey and staff for the dignified, efficient, and sympathetic manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

Acknowledgement Notice

The family of the late Margaret Vaughan wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who visited Margaret during her illness and to everyone who sympathised with and supported the family during their recent bereavement. Sincere thanks are extended to Rev. Jim Francis for visiting Margaret in hospital and at home, and for conducting a lovely service in the church and, despite extreme weather conditions, at the graveside. The family would also like to thank St Patrick’s Church for providing such lovely refreshments on the day of the funeral. A special word of thanks to Alan Francey Funeral Services for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Heartfelt thanks to Dr Russell and all the staff at Gable Medical Centre for the support and care Margaret received. The family also wishes to thank the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital and Antrim Area Hospital, together with the carers who looked after Margaret at home. Special thanks are extended to the district and palliative care nurses for their visits and continued care, and to the wonderful Marie Curie nurses who supported Margaret and the family at the greatest hour of need. Finally, the family thank everyone who donated to the Marie Curie nurses in Margaret’s memory.
