MITCHELL, George Ernest, aged 48 years, passed away 26th December 2025, tragically at his home in Waring Street, Ballymena. Much loved husband of Mary, loving dad of Rhys, Kayla, Leah, Courtney and Travis, cherished son of Geoffrey Mitchell and the late Barbara, devoted brother of Beryl, Geoffrey, Stephanie and the late Richard, a loving uncle, nephew and cousin.

Funeral arrangements to follow.

Family and friends are welcome to call at his father Geoffrey’s home.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth, loving father of Heather, dear father-in-law of Alister, much loved stepfather of Heather and her partner Simon, Jacqueline and her partner Alan, Claire and her husband Rodney, devoted grandfather of Caitlin, Nicole, Ben, Cathy, Connie, Bobby, Lexi and Timmy and a cherished brother of Roy, Monty, Eileen, Victor and the late Winston and Ted.

Service of thanksgiving for the life of Pele was held in Alan Francey’s Funeral Church 94 Toome Road, Ballymena on Wednesday 24th December 2025, followed by a private cremation.
