A little Sunday refresh 🤍

Last week felt heavy, and I’ve spent the weekend finding joy in the simplest things — moving my body, quieting my mind, enjoying the sunshine and letting lightness come back in.

As I move into this new week, I remind myself: every moment is a chance to begin again, every choice can support my goals. We are always given the opportunity for a fresh start, a fresh perspective, and the power to choose what truly serves us.

In Sanskrit, the word “sankalpa” — means a heartfelt intention formed by the soul, not the ego. I invite this at the beginning and end of every practise. It’s not about fixing what’s wrong, but about remembering what’s already whole within us.
This week, my sankalpa is: “I trust in my intuitive voice guiding me with lightness & clarity”

Choosing what supports — body, mind, and spirit aligned.
May we all move forward with gentle awareness. ✨

Sometimes when you’ve had a tough day, what you need most is to pause. Let your body be in its feelings, let it be ok that you don’t feel your best.

Breathe.
Rest.
Watch.
The Sunset.

And without trying to change anything in this moment — you can simply be present, stay quiet, stay in your feelings and notice.

Notice what is there.
Notice what comes forward to meet you.
And welcome it all in to be with you.
As you watch the sunset. ☀️

If you’ve had a tough day, know that you are not alone in those feelings — please know it is ok to have tough days too.

Remember outside of the crazy expectations life and social media may try to put on you, to think you need to have it all figured out, that most of us are just learning and growing as we go along, figuring it out on the way.

Find me in the spaces
where the light flows through ✨
where there is nothing in between
me and you

My soul dancing in the rays
breathing and being
filling up with life and the knowing
that I am home

Here in this moment
my heart beats strong
for its seen this beauty before
and it knows it to be true

This moment 🌿
This being
The breathing
This beating

It is all mine, here to be felt
to be seen and held
and I’ll smile through my whole body
because it is whole, it is free

This poem came to me as I was sitting peacefully watching the light dancing in the trees. It is about the connection we form to our own beings when we slow down to pause and feel into the present moment — in these moments we are home within ourselves 🌙

When I first began my recovery through an eating disorder and anxiety I experienced so many emotions — they all existed together.

Relief.
Fear.
Curiosity.
Uncertainty.
Worry.
Hope. ✨

I also felt exhausted pretty much all of the time, my body had so little energy after years of abuse and I had no idea who I was or how I was going to feel better. I had spent so many years hiding myself away, hiding my eating disorder, hiding my feelings, hiding my fears.

But I also felt for the first time a sense of freedom — I felt free in that I no longer had to hide behind a mask, I no longer had to pretend that everything was ok and that allowed me to begin again. 🌿

To throw out how I thought I was supposed to be living and instead to find the space to be me.

In all of my raw, messy, deep bodied feelings. 🌙

Healing is not an easy thing to do, it takes courage, it takes no longer accepting keeping yourself small — it’s messy and tiring and beautiful and wholesome.

It cracks you wide open — and in that cracking, it fills you with light. 💫

It fills you with your own potential and it allows you to see the true person you have always been beneath the mask, the fear and the rejection.

And that true version of you? It welcomes you home and it climbs the mountains with you.. because it knows you have the strength within you to keep going. 🤍

It may not be easy, but wow — it is so worth it to build a nurturing relationship with yourself and your body will thank you in abundance for showing up to it with care, compassion and grace. 🙏🏼
