Volt hockey is a sport built for those with limited upper and lower body mobility and brings inclusion to sport for those who may not have tried many adaptive sports before.

The sport is typically played indoors, 3 on 3 with teams trying to outscore each other. Chairs are joystick driven limited mobility to participate.

Volt hockey is already popular in Canada and Europe for people with limited mobility, and the Boston Self Help Center hopes it will take off in New England.

A local hockey school is giving opportunities to those who are blind and partially-sighted.

Newfoundland Blind Ice Hockey play the adapted version of ice hockey every Sunday and use a puck four sizes larger than standard, made of tin, and full of ball bearings, so players can track the sound and position of the puck on the ice.

James Casserly, a 16 year old who has cerebral palsy, has set himself the challenge to travel to all 32 counties on public transport to find out exactly how accessible Ireland is.

He reviews everything from wheelchair ramp availability to disabled toilet provisions in all the places he visits.

James says "I want wheelchair users to be able to go wherever they please and not have to worry about checking all that stuff themselves beforehand,"

Reviewed a product review website, recently launched an accessibility category featuring “in-depth product insights for adaptive products, assistive technology and accessible design for people with disabilities and their caregivers.”

A website known for its reviews of items like TVs, mattresses and vacuum cleaners is debuting a new section devoted to evaluating products aimed at making life easier for people with disabilities.

Great to see Sesame Street adding yet another character to educate and shine a light on different disabilities.

After adding Julia a 4 year old with Autism Seasame Street are now set to introduce a new Muppet named Ameera, an 8-year-old with a spinal cord injury, relies on forearm crutches or a bright purple wheelchair to get around.

The people behind "Sesame Street" are introducing a new Muppet who uses a wheelchair in an effort to spotlight children with disabilities around the world.
