We are Medialis, a private company, that has been working for free for the last 4 weeks and have developed a Long COVID Quality of Life questionnaire (with a group of LONG COVID sufferers from this group) to monitor how LONG COVID sufferer’s Quality of Life has been affected by their disease.

Importantly, this is not limited to simple symptom monitoring but highlights the real impact of these symptoms on your day to day living that are often missed.

We are now recruiting for ALL those with Long COVID (it doesn’t matter if you have had a positive test or not) to join this study and complete the survey on a monthly basis.

If you would like to participate please get in touch by emailing research@medialis.co.uk using ‘COVID’ in the subject line.

Volunteers still needed! COVID-19 Quality of Life Measure Development

We are a Medical Affairs company currently running an online research study to design a post-acute COVID-19 Quality of Life measure (PAC19-QoL). This forms part of our corporate social responsibility agenda, which means that we are not seeking any external funding or generating any profits from this project.

If you are interested, please get in touch – info@medialis.co.uk

We are looking for participants aged 18+ who can read/write/converse in English based anywhere in the world.

The study is going to be divided into two stages - Phase One and
Phase Two:

Phase One: Development of PAC19-QoL measure

We are looking for 30-60 participants who have had a positive swab test or antibody test for COVID-19 to take part in online surveys. Their answers to our questionnaires will help us create a tool that can measure the quality of life in post-acute COVID-19 patients, the PAC19-QoL.

Phase Two: Data collection using the PAC-19QoL

During a longer and broader second phase, we are looking to recruit between 100 and 5000 post-acute COVID-19 patients that will use the PAC19-QoL to assess their quality of life, monthly for 12 months. Participation in this phase of the study will be open to all COVID-19 patients, irrespective of their test status. The performance of the PAC19-QoL tool will be evaluated and optimised to provide the first QoL measure that is suitable for post-acute COVID-19 patients.

It is our intention that the tool will be made available for all public, not for profit (academic and patient organisations) to use for free on the strict understanding that no income or profit be generated from it.

This research study has been reviewed by the South West Central Bristol Research Ethics Committee (NHS) and we were given a favourable opinion to go ahead.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Please also pass this information on and share it with anyone who you think might like to take part.

We are a Medical Affairs company currently running a not for profit research study to design a post- acute COVID-19 Quality of Life measure (PAC19QoL). We are looking for participants who have had a confirmed positive swab test or a confirmed positive antibody test for COVID-19 to take part in our online survey study. We have a review from South West Bristol Research Ethics Committee (NHS) who have given a favourable opinion for the study to go ahead and we are registered on Clinical Trials.gov (reg no. NCT04586413). There are two phases, the first will involve a 3 stage questionnaire process to find out your preferences for areas of life impacted by COVID-19 to be included in the measure, look at the levels of agreement across participants around these areas and to decide how important/relevant the various areas are before we create the finalised PAC19QoL. The second phase will involve collecting data using the PAC19QoL online monthly for 12 months so we can look at changes over time.
