Out leafletting for my Slimming World groups today and feeling so excited 🥰

I absolutely love being able to invite new people along and share something I’m truly passionate about. Slimming World is about so much more than weight loss! It’s support, confidence, friendships and believing in yourself again. I can’t wait to welcome new faces and help people start their own journeys ✨

If you’ve had a leaflet from me, it’s not by chance. And if it’s not for you right now, maybe you know someone who’s been saying “I need to do something”, please feel free to pass it on and help spread the word 💌

I couldn't resist trying the viral trend - it clearly is an AI generated image of me - and before joining Slimming World I wouldn't have had the confidence to wear the outfit in the original photo. So this was fun to try!

Hi, I'm a leaflet. I may well be floating through your letter box soon, or I maybe already have. At first glance you might think I'm junk mail. I promise I won't be too offended, but can I just ask you to consider a few things…

So far, we leaflets have achieved some amazing things. We've helped people take that often really hard first step into a friendly local group. That might not seem much, but when that small step leads to life changing events, then 🤩

"Like what?" you might ask...
⭐️Becoming medication free after managing health conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
⭐️Being able to move more after reducing joint pain and using fewer pain killers.
⭐️Improved sense of well being and self esteem being supported by people who understand.
⭐️Fertility improving and babies being born (a particular favourite 😘)
⭐️Learning about healthy cooking and shopping and improving family eating.
⭐️Meeting new friends and making lifelong friendships.
There are so many success stories in every group, it really is so much more than "just losing weight".

So if I land on your door mat, just for a second think... you really can take that step if you feel ready. I might not be what you need right now, but maybe a friend or relative does...

I hope you can see that, rather than just junk mail, I'm an invitation to take that step to a healthier future... 😉

You’ll find groups across Banbury, Monday - Saturday, some mornings, and some evenings. Spread the word, life is about to change 😊

🎄 THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS OFF-PLAN 🎄
by your ever-proud Consultant (and fellow member!), Mel of the Banbury Groups 🎄

🎄'Twas the run-up to Christmas, and all through the town,
Slimming World members were feeling quite down.
The mince pies had whispered, the Baileys had sung,
And the willpower wagon? Well… off it had flung.

🎄Some said, “I’ll restart in Jan, it’s too late for me,”
As they nibbled on stuffing and sipped festive tea.
But deep down inside, a small voice gave a shout:
“I miss my group — and my sparkle’s run out!”

🎄They scrolled past the posts, they ignored the old chat,
Feeling bloated and blue in their festive red hat.
But here comes a truth wrapped in tinsel and cheer:
Mel would be proud of you — now, next, and last year!

🎄She gets it, she’s human (and partial to cake),
She’s danced with temptation, made every mistake.
But she knows that your journey’s not ruined or gone,
It’s just paused for a moment — the sparkle lives on!

🎄So if you’ve gone quiet, or skipped a few weeks,
If your jeans feel rebellious and your confidence leaks…
Know this: you’re welcome, no judgement, no shame,
Just hugs, happy tears, and your Consultant proclaim:

🎄“Come back this week! Don't leave it too late,
I’ll be here with your mojo and a festive cheer”
Because Christmas is lovely, but YOU shine much more,
And your group is the sleigh that will help you restore.

🎄So unwrap your courage, and don’t overthink,
Your sparkle’s still there — it just needed a wink 😉.
And Mel? She’s cheering, with glitter and glee,
Saying, “You’re amazing — because you came back to me!” 💖
